Crown Heights Dental Clinic: Randy W Atkinson DDS

I recently been to Crown Heights and from check in and through the whole visit , the staff is very gentle and caring !The customer service there is outstanding. One of Oklahoma City's finest dentistry . Also brought the entire family and all the kids loved the experience. It is a family friendly and compassionate environment for every member of my family . Of course , getting my kids to the dentist is usually a nervous task but the kids felt comfortable and safe in the dental office. I had a procedure done and had no pain . It was amazing I was back to eating my steak that night !!! The kids had procedures and weren't anxious or afraid either as the dental assistants are very professional and well spoken ! I have never in my life EVER been treated so badly and rudely by any dentist or Physician. My initial experience with this office was fantastic and I absolutely loved Dr. Atkinson’s staff. My dental needs were quite extensive and I purchased a Groupon. First visit was great and I knew the work that I needed would be costly. We paid over $3500. One of my procedures was a root canal. After the procedure I had considerable pain for over a week. The temporary crown he had just put on me literally broke off after a week. It was a weekend so I had about 48 hours that the temp crown was off. We lived over an hour away. Dr Atkinson overheard me telling his staff that I had constant pain that I had been dealing with for over a week. Dr Atkinson tried to blame me for going around for over a week with my temp crown off. I informed him that that wasn’t true that my crown had only been off for about 48 hours or less. His reply was “whatever”. He didn’t believe me. He was mean and so aggressive with me and started jerking my head around and was PURPOSELY being physically abusive because he was angry. He didn’t even bother to ask me how or when everything happened. He just assumed from overhearing part of a conversation with his staff. This all happened a few years ago. 2 days ago the permanent crown he placed on me broke somehow. I now have a big hole in my crown that I paid lots of money for and severe pain. Dr Atkinson apologized to me for the way he had treated me when I went in to have the permanent crown placed on. (if I hadn’t already paid for the permanent crown I wouldn’t have gone back. I was self conscious already about my teeth and I couldn’t believe that I paid someone who was physically abusive. I think about how I was crying while he was working on me,,,,, it just annoyed him and made him more aggressive. He was literally working on me so hard that he was jerking my head and neck. My husband and I drove 2 hours to his satellite office because he wasn’t in his main office that day. My husband was out in our car waiting for me when I came out of my appointment. I got in the car and just sobbed and cried in his arms. My husband said the way I was crying was heartbreaking and he was so mad at himself for going to the car while I was inside being abused. I really thought I had moved past all this until my permanent crown broke a few days ago. I just feel so hurt emotionally and now I’m going to see another dentist this afternoon that I have to pay to fix his work. I have worked in the medical field for many years and I still can’t believe this experience really happened to me.

I was a big old coward with dentistry and went to Crown Heights. They treated me with kindness and understood my fears and never made feel bad for being a chicken. Dr. Atkinson did an amazing job and kept me pain free. The staff is professional, well versed and compassionate. I highly recommend them.

Took my grandchildren in for cleaning and checkup and was very pleased at how very friendly and professional the staff and Dr. was. The grandkids said it was a great experience and they wanted to go back. No more anxiety or being afraid of going to the dentist. I recommend this dentistry to anybody and everybody.

I visited Crown Heights Dental Clinic to start a teeth whitening treatment, and I was amazed at how efficient and thorough the process was! What was more amazing was that I received my whitening tray from the lab upstairs the same day of my visit. Dr. Atkinson is the best, and this is the best dental office in OKC - I'd highly recommend!
