Theami Montessori

This is a really great school! We love that our kids (2 & 4 yr old) have the ability to move around and don't have to sit behind a desk all day. Not only are they learning academically but they are also learning life skills as well like cleaning up after themselves, learning to use their words to express their emotions, potty training, gardening, etc. Our experience here has been wonderful and we love how our children are developing. If you are looking for a school where your children will thrive, this is it.

My daughter been going here since 2. Now she is 7 and still going here. She loves the fact that she goes on her pace, sometime that can be faster then other kids paces. Her vocabulary is much better then lot of 11 year old. Great school.

Theami Montessori is a amazing school for children. Unlike public school here your child will have the opportunity to have a hands on learning experience. Theami Montessori children are independent and self-sufficient. I have witnessed young children speech progress tremendously from when they first started. I have seen a difference in children from just the first week of them attending Theami Montessori. If you want your child to have a strong foundation than this is the school you want them to attend. Mrs. Shahnaj is without a doubt one of the most loving, patient, and hands-on teachers I have ever met.

This school is one of the best schools in the world, I guess. Because Shahnaj Parvin, the teacher of the school, is the best teacher in the world in my opinion. She knows well how to change the way of thinking to a better way and make children happy. She can teach them the way they can understand very well. She has the God gifted ability of teaching. That's why I love the school very much.

Theami Montessori is more than a school, it is a community; a place that fosters personal development and scholastic achievement all while including parents in the process. Theami allows students to take charge of their learning via quality, certified AMI instruction, which utilizes precise lessons that set a balanced foundation for continuing education. The class sizes are small, but ample. Each grade is a level comprised of a 2-3 year age gap. This method allows children to teach one another; Younger students are able to observe the skills they will master, as older students acknowledge how much they have progressed. Students are not categorized and burdened by the expectation that they must meet certain scholastic standards. In fact, Theami rarely utilizes homework, never gives grades, and only gives "test" occasionally for practice. Instead of conventional methods, which assume students need incentives for learning (i.e. grades, stickers, parties, etc.), Theami Montessori understands that children are naturally inquisitive and interested in learning; Achievement is the ultimate reward. Through promoting hands-on, self-paced, challenging, and collaborative lessons, Theami encourages divergent thinking that allows for individualized learning. While one student may be working on long division, another may be learning about culture. The instructor moves around the classroom instead of trying to teach the same lesson to 20 students. In doing so, students develop a love for learning that is unmet by traditional methods. Theami, instructors are well trained and have a successful history in education with more than 25 years of experience. The instructors take pride in each student individually and understand the need for children to be well rounded, socially and academically. They are patient, kind, encouraging, and helpful; A shinning example for students. After witnessing the progress of Theami students, including my own son, I can confidently say that this school is unique among Montessori schools in Henry County and superior to any traditional style of education. Theami promotes self-descipline, social awareness, independence, responsibility, strong academics and, in turn, a life time love of learning!
