I have attended this school for over 7 years, you may not want to hear a review from some 13 year old but I strongly urge you to try this school. This school helps lead a bright future for kids who have the capability. This school has received 2 consecutive blue ribbon awards and they deserve it. Everyone works hard and it is a great environment for your kid's education. With the recent change of teachers and principle I can say that this change has impacted the school for the better. Everyone has a place in this school and I have seen throughout the years countless people get accepted by the other students and treated as family. This place is truly a family and I hope you will consider a tour & coffee at SJS and consider a great education for your child. Do it for you children.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH RUDE PEOPLE. I CALLED TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE SCHOOL FOR SUPPLIES AND THE LADY THAT ANSWERED THE PHONE ASSUMED I WAS MAKING A SALES CALL AND RUDELY HUNG UP ON ME MID SENTENCE. THEY MUST HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY OR TOO BUSY TO TAKE A DONATION. TUITION GOES UP BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE THIS. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER SMALL SCHOOLS IN THE AREA THAT WOULD BE HAPPY TO LISTEN AND RECEIVE. KARMA.

The principal at this school is completely unprofessional when there are concerns about a program and/or teacher at hand. This principal has screamed at parents who come to her with legitimate concerns AND threatens a child's future education in any Catholic school in the city of Chicago? This has occurred on more than one occasion and I would consider other schools in the area. The city has too many good schools to settle with subpar and an unprofessional principal. The preschool at St. Josaphat's is day care at best for prek3. And the prek4 program is comparable to most prek3 programs at other schools. Not able to comment on the upper grades, but the preschool at sjs is not certified and it shows. SJS has nothing acedemically against other schools, ask for scores from all schools you apply to and compare, they are not exceeding.
