I see mixed reviews on this school. I sent my kid to this school to PreK. My boy started to read with in a month. I felt really happy for that progress. Issues will be there every where. I am not a christian but this school teaches Christianity. I never had any issues with that. I welcomed! The foundation what my boy got from this school is incredible.

This is a very bad place, it is NOT a real Christian school at all. This is not how Christians are supposed to act, everyone hates each other and they talk behind each other's back. They "pray" and then they go swearing and judging people in the hallways, they are hypocrites. There were new kids looking around the school to see if they wanted to come, and then I overheard upper students calling them fat, ugly, etc. Then, 5 minutes later, they hold the Bible and pretend to pray. What hypocrites! This school absolutely doesn't represent the True Body of Christ. Hosea 9:9- "The things My people do are as depraved as what they did in Gibeah long ago. They have deeply corrupted themselves; God will not forget. He will surely punish them for their sins."

Very bad in the middle/high school. Everybody here are hypocrites. Not recommended. This is coming from a former student. 1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows."

I am so happy that I graduated this school & officially left FOR GOOD. I hated every day of this school, but I had to stay here because my parents pushed me to stay. The only good teacher there is moving unfortunately, and the rest that are left aren’t even teachers. They’re just “pastor’s wives”, favorited by the principal as always. The school’s main picture on Wiki used to be a photo of the actual school before, but now the principal changed it to a photo of HIMSELF. Nice going, Mr. Fry. He only favorites kids of his choice, sadly. So do the teachers. Everyone chooses favorites. I don’t why there’s good reviews on here, but I do know the kids in this school personally, and I know that they aren’t happy with this school. (even though they’re the ones who ruin the school itself…) It makes me sick seeing all of these good reviews from elementary schoolers, because they don’t even know what’s going to happen when they go to the high school. People who are putting good reviews either work here, or are from the elementary school. Let’s start off with the high school students. (They’re the students i’m going to be talking about in this whole review) You can’t really be happy with having a friendship here, there’s not a lot of kids in the classes. If its 3 verses 1 in a friend group, with all 3 being against you——you can’t just go out there and make new friends. Because everybody there knows everybody. There’s probably like, 20 students in the entire high school. The people who you consider as “friends” will talk about you to other students. You can’t make new friends in this school. No way of getting out of an old friendship group. And yes, this school does have “groups”. The principal however, never dares to listen to us. We can write a whole review telling the TRUTH about LCA, and he will just not believe it. Which is truly upsetting, because you would think a principal is the one who’s SUPPOSED to listen to feedback and make the school a better place. But nope. Not to mention, a lot of the high school students cuss all the time. I’ve seen the middle finger being thrown so many times when the teacher isn’t looking. I’ve seen people cussing in the hallways. It actually happens pretty frequently, to be honest. Every student in the high school here knows this. If they deny it, they’re lying, because God knows they do it. Once, a student even stole the teacher's cell phone during the first weeks of school. I’m glad I graduated LCA & left there forever. I thought this school was gonna actually have an actual Christian environment. But nope. Was nothing but disappointing. If you are a parent/student here, wanting to know if you should attend Latham Christian Academy, do NOT go. I would give this zero stars if google let me. The teachers in the high school are a plain mess. They can’t teach, especially the math teacher… so many kids from LCA have moved to the Shaker High school, which if you didn’t know, is RIGHT next to LCA. This is something the principal should know & do something about (Like, fixing his school). If kids are leaving this so-called “Christian” school & are transferring to a public school right NEXT to it, there’s obviously something up. Meaning, parents are letting their children leave a Christian highschool into a public highschool, because the “Christian” highschool isn't actually “Christian” like how they claimed it in their website. Do not go to Latham Christian Academy, unless you want to have a bad experience. Jeremiah 23:11 "Both prophet and pastor are godless; even in My temple I find their wickedness", declares the LORD".

I would recommend this school to anyone who wants their kids in a Christian environment. My children have been going to this school for 2 years and I've had a great experience. The elementary and secondary teachers are phenomenal. You can tell they really care. I have one child on the autism spectrum and while in public school he was always quiet and never talked. Within 2 weeks of starting at LCA I saw a whole other personality come out. He was smiling, laughing, and looked forward to school. I know my kids are in a safe environment. The teachers are very responsive if you have any questions, and you couldn't ask for a better principal. It feels like a big family!
