Goddard of Enola has changed ownership. The changes are incredible, both for parents and for the teachers from what I can see.

Oct 18, 2011
My daughter has been attending Goddard since she was 3 months old. While the experience started off fantastic, I found that it was mostly due to the efforts of one exceptional teacher in the infant room. After that teacher "retired" and my daughter transitioned to the toddler room, the program started going downhill fast! I found that the teachers may be stronger in an educational capacity than they are in childcare, which is a disadvantage when caring for children with limited verbal capabilities. While I don't want to count out good teachers that are in college or pursuing a degree, there is something to be said for a warm, nurturing figure that just loves kids...and plenty common sense. Getting the staff to consistently meet the basic needs of my child became a regular topic of discussion, mostly caused by staff changes in the afternoon. The regular teachers would leave early and any special needs or instructions would leave with them. Plus, I would start to get regular incident reports for playtime (occassional falls expected, but it was excessive), so I started to drop-in and found the teachers outside talking amongst themselves rather than engaging the kids in playtime or paying attention to avoid a busted lip. To top it off, this is one of the most costly programs, so you expect top tier care. In my opinion, look elsewhere. We are leaving this daycare for another that is both educationally rich and nurturing.

I found out that other parents in my kid's room were paying much lower tuition rates than I was. Rates vary among the parents and differed as much as $150 per month. I did not like the owner at all and found him to be very untrustworthy. The teachers were nice, but mistreated by management. Find another center for your child.
