This is our sixth year at Good Shepherd School and we couldn't be happier. Each year you hope and pray your child will have a great teacher that they will learn from and enjoy having. Our daughter has had wonderful and amazing teachers. She has learned from each of them academically and is excelling. She is happy at Good Shepherd School. We are truly grateful and blessed.

Teachers and staff at Good Shepherd have shown my children love and concern over the ten years we have been there. I’ve always felt that when I’ve dropped my children off at school, that I was leaving them in good hands. My son graduated from GSS and is well prepared for high school.

I had gone to this place for over nine years. Trust me, it is a shadow of what it once was. When I began going here it was a welcoming, happy experience. However, over the past several years things have only gotten worse. Many of the few good teachers this place has have either lost influence, retired, or left to go to a better place. In addition, the current principal of this school has caused the past few years to become disasters. He tried to change Good Shepherd and ultimately just made it a mediocre copy-cat of better schools. This principal is inept in ways so numerous I cannot cover them all in this review. However, the major ones are that he is out-of-touch, has bad hiring abilities, and cannot correctly manage a school. He is making no moves to change any of these things either. He has continued to offer no consistent form of communication between the students or their parents. He has also been unable to find sufficient teachers, many of whom complain about their lackluster salaries and are unwilling to aid the students beyond reading them the textbooks. Which leads me to a question I have long wondered about. If the $6,000+ tuitions with no sibling discounts are not going to the teachers or the sub-par facilities, where are they going? I am afraid that that question may never be answered.

Good Shepherd has recently made changes and adjustments that have helped to create a more positive Catholic school educational experience for the students and their families. Students who graduate from Good Shepherd are well prepared to succeed at Trinity High School, or at whatever high school they choose to attend.

I came to Good Shepherd in the November of 2015. It was seventh grade. I was greeted with open arms until I met a teacher. I will not disclose the name but she was by far the worst teacher i had ever experienced (soon the next year i would meet another one who was by far the worst). She publically mocked me and this had so much of an effect that even my classmates came up to me in private about her comments. One comment was made DURING CLASS that I looked like a distorted Sal Vulcano from Impractical Jokers with no nose. I believe that she called it a, "self portrait". I was so distraught with this that I had to let out my anger at home. The Principal of Good Shepherd was no better. He may have seemed like a good warmhearted individual, but he had no spine. Anything that his teachers said he believed even when they were PROVEN WRONG! On one instance I had been struck by a ball in the head on multiple occasions by a student and I reported this information to him. NOTHING HAPPENED!
