Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE. 500 hundred Miami- La havana. I paid it because I had an emergency in Cuba and I had the take it, because they were the only ones with flights available, now I know why. My flight was for a Friday at 4 pm. I arrived in Cuba on Saturday at 1 in the afternoon. A 45 min flight. unavailable. My flight was supposed to be from Friday to sunday. I got there on time, I checked in, long line but anyways that was nothing for me by that time. BUT when we were sitting on the gate room, after 2 hours of the flight being delayed, someone said in the audio that they were having some technical issues that within an hour everything should be fine. within 2 hours they called to start boarding, 10 people got to see the airplane, then they told them to get out the airplane. because they still had problems, then the same message again, that we had to wait. they repeat the same BS until 9 pm. (my flight was at 4) they said then that they were trying to get another airplane because that one wasn't good. that after 5 hours trying to fix it. they gave us a 7 dollars Boucher for pizza hut, ( what can you buy with 7 dollars in an airport) and told us that within an hour they were going to bring another airplane. ok at 11 more less they said that they were not able to get it, that the flight was cancelled. that our flight was going to be for saturday at 8 in the morning. WTF the whole day there and they come with that after several hours. ok that was already enough. but there is more. they also said they had to take the luggage out the airplane. ( for what) and they had to give it to us. that was around 11. they gave us our stuff at 1 am. because at that time they didn't have enough staff to get the bags out. so 2 more hours waiting. they did not give a Boucher for a hotel, nothing. they said that they called some hotels but they we all booked. A big lie. All hotels had rooms available. Kids and old people had to sleep in the floor. they did not gave us part of our 500 dollars. nothing. but there is more. the next day, the flight was for 8 in the morning. we did not leave until 12. first the airplane wasn't there, then they had to put gas, then they had to clean it. all flights after us left before us. UNBELIEVABLE. next time I would prefer to go walking to swimming to cuba that use this airplane. i think I will be faster. this happened in February 2016 by the way.

Upon check-in at the Miami airport, there were 2 lines and it was not clear as to what line one should stand it. There's a line to obtain your airfare ticket, insurance and forms. There's another line to check-in your luggage. It was totally confusing. No signs no where. Also, upon on return to Miami from Havana, Cuba, there was a 5 hour delay. We were told by Havana airport that the flight would be delayed, but received no explanation as to why. The Havana airport officials would not provide additional information. There was no additional information given to the foreigners trying to head home. The Havana airport officials speak very little English. They stated we need to speak with someone from American Airlines or HavanaTour to obtain more information. HavanaTour is located inside the Havana airport. When we asked if we could go speak with an HavanaTour representative, we were told it was impossible for us to go to the other side of the airport. They would not allow us to go to the other side of the airport to speak with anyone. It was the worst experience ever! In order to speak with an American airlines representative, we needed to call them. In order to place a call from Havana, you will need to have Verizon phone service. If you have VErizon, there's a $2.50 per minute fee. And you need to have American Airlines number because there's no internet service in Havana. Terrible airport experience!
