Currently studying abroad and I'm trying to change my return flight to enjoy my time here in Europe. I take multiple flights a year and I am constantly changing flights, so I am no stranger to cancellation fees and processing fees. Advantage Travel definitely takes advantage of students studying abroad. I asked for a change in flight, and their team is telling me to change my flight a month in advance with cost $300, when my host university's travel agent (who over sees our stay here) is telling me their charging far too much for a change of flight from Iberia Madrid to JFK. Did I mention that the $300 fare doesn't include change in the flight? I suspect a large portion of that $300 goes to processing fees a.k.a the Travel agent pressing a few keys and making one call to Iberia. They're also quite rude when I called them out of the fee. I asked where those funds were being allocated, and they weren't giving me an answer-- Just being rude. If I'm spending money with your firm, I have a right to know how you are spending my money.
