My Wife and my brother in law BOTH went here when they were younger. Now my daughter comes here and my bother in law has signed up again. This place is very fun, family oriented and teaches the students discipline inside and outside. I recommend this place to anyone who's looking to join any taekwondo or any type of self defense out here.

My daughter has been with Modern Samurai for 2 and a half years! It's a wonderful place for her to learn self-defense, disciplines, respect, self-control, confidence and even more. Sansei Lou is a great coach for the kids and Terri (Mrs. Sansei)is so loving and kind to the kids! I cannot appreciate more! I highly recommend this place!

Modern Samurai was one of the first extracurricular institutions I joined as a youth. I have attended classes there at different points in my life over the past two decades. The school an excellent place to maintain physical fitness, in an otherwise relentlessly busy, distracting city, It is an excellent cardiovascular training alternative to traditional athletics. However, Modern Samurai provides a much more important service. Instructor Louis D'Agostino is an individual of strong moral fiber and is able to instill discipline and confidence in the city's youth in a manner rarely found in today's schools. I have gained much from attending classes here, and I hope you and/or your children will as well.

I will keep this short and simple. Modern samurai is a great martial arts school for anyone who’s willing to learn. Sensei Lou is one of the kindest, down to earth person you will ever meet. His positive attitude on life is a reflection on everything he does, especially martial arts. Furthermore, as an instructor he is the best because he is knowledgeable on many types of martial arts and incorporates those skills in real life situations. Overall, if you really want to learn something, Modern Samurai is the place to go.

I chose Modern Samurai because of the great lessons my son has gained from being a member. Sensei Lou takes the time to explain in detail the value of each move or technique, and ensures the development of one's mental, physical and social well being. He has created a family friendly environment that is warm and welcoming yet does not compromise the art of learning self defense. Each day we are thought new techniques that are very practical and useful along with the skills necessary to attaining black belt status. His wealth of skills and experience along with a strong supportive staff makes Modern Samurai the number choice.
