This has certainly given me a new level of energy and allowed me to feel fit and kick some butt while I'm at it! Master Dow knows just how to push you to get to a point that you will feel great and work on reaching any goal you have

My 8-year-old son has been training with Master Dow for the past year and a half and he loves it! The curriculum is structured and specifically designed by age and development level. This gives him reasonable expectations but challenging goals to achieve. With a belt test every 10 weeks, my son is learning to keep his eye on the prize while working persistently each week towards a goal in the not so distant future. He's also learning about respect and self discipline, which is a big bonus. His progress since he began training here has been wonderful to see. We just signed up for another year.

After being out of competitive high school sports for a while I was looking for a place to get back into the mindset of being healthy. When I found Beach Cities Martial Art I signed up for the introductory classes. From the moment I walked in I was treated with respect and looked at as a student, not just a source of income which I have felt at gyms. The other students have been a wonderful support system and have been welcoming and encouraging. Not only have they helped me learn but they have helped to make me feel welcome. I look forward to my classes after a long day of work. I know that I am going to be able to focus my energy into learning and working out. I leave class knowing that I was able to push myself physically and mentally. One of my favorite aspects is that we are not just learning the how but we are learning the why of the techniques. I do not feel like we are mindlessly going through the motions, every class I am fully mentally engaged. I would suggest Beach Cities Martial arts to all levels of students if you are willing to work hard and come with a positive outlook.

I love this gym! They keep a strict curriculum so I always know where I am and what I need to work on. They give me an experience I haven't had at any other martial arts school! The style allows for quick learning and a detailed look at everything you do. Definitely the best martial arts school that I've signed up for!

I have join L..A. Budo because it is a fun and safe place to learn Martial Arts, The instructor David Dow make you work hard and make you earn your Belts. When I first join I thought that I was just going to get my White Belt, But instructor David just do not give you the White belt you have to earn, Which give me more confidence in myself and made me pride of myself for earning my White belt. unlike other Martial Arts places who just give you your white belt, which would not make a person proud of there self because they did not earn it. David Dow and his other staff and good at what they do and they make sure that you learn and complish your goals. They work hard with you to help you build your self up and make you a strong person with your mind and body. I would recommend this place to anyone who want to learn and to have fun and make new friends.
