Even though I stopped at Blue Belt, I really loved what they taught me. I felt like a black belt because Jr. Master Leo and Grand Master Choi always challenges me to do sparring and it was SOOOOOOOOO fun!!!

I've been a student here for about a year and a half. It's been a wonderful experiance, the Master at Fremont school is very good with the kids, and is always making the class interesting for all ages. He is young but very smart and talented. My little sister and my father take classes with me and it's very much a family event. Even walking in it feels like a family atmosphere where the staff, parents and children alike are all warm and welcoming. I highly suggest this Taekwondo school if you're looking for Respect, Disipline, Determination, Perserverance, Self-Control, Integrity, Helpfulness, Modesty, Courage, Loyalty. - Tenets of Hengdokwan. It's great for ages 4 and up to adult as well.

I have known Grand Master Choi for about ten years now. I started taking Taekwondo classes at Choi's Martial Arts when I was in 8th grade, and continued throughout high school and during my freshmen year at the University of California, Berkeley. I recently graduated from college, and I am now back at Choi's taking classes before starting medical school this August. Looking back at the past ten years of my life, I can honestly say that learning and practicing Taekwondo under the guidance of G.M. Choi and the other excellent instructors at Choi's Martial Arts has helped me be more successful in all areas of my life. The students, staff, and instructors of the school are very welcoming, and it really feels like we are a family. Taekwondo training at Choi's Martial Arts emphasizes character development by cultivating positive qualities such as focus, respect, discipline, and helpfulness, while also helping students grow as skilled martial artists. As a result, I found that my confidence and social skills improved. I have no doubt that the skills and positive attitude that Taekwondo has developed in me can be beneficial to others. In sum, my experience at Choi's Martial Arts over the last several years has been highly positive. I know of many of my former classmates at Choi's who have gone on to prestigious 4-year institutions such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Cal Poly. And, just as Taekwondo has helped me prepare for a successful career in medicine - I will be starting medical school this fall at the University of Illinois - my friends who are also graduates of Choi's are succeeding in their own fields of study by applying what they learned during their Taekwondo training.
