Cannot say enough about this place. A true standard of excellence is upheld here. Kyle’s curriculum for both grappling/bjj and muai thai are perfect for competitors, non competitors, and those who are new to mma. The separation of fundamental and advanced classes allows beginners to focus properly on their skill development before being thrown to the wolves in an advanced setting. The quality of instruction for bjj and muai thai are second to none, and the community atmosphere Kyle has fostered is unmatched. It truly breaks my heart to have left this place due to moving, but rest assured i will be back, and i will take the stripes earned under Kyle, continue rise in rank, and make him proud.

I can not say enough good things about this gym. I have been to a few in the area and this is hands down the best! There is something for everyone here, whether you are a serious competitor, casual enthusiast, or purely in it for the fitness, this gym has you covered. Kyle has worked hard to create a strong team environment, where growth and learning are paramount. Everyone is extremely friendly, and it never ceases to amaze me just how willing every single belt level and fellow team member is to help their other fellow teammates get better. A testament to Kyle's efforts to create a fun team environment where we all help each other improve and reach our goals. Kyle is a terrific instructor - he is patient, well-spoken, and always available to help in anyway. Plus he is just an all around nice guy. The Muay Thai classes are also excellent. Jason and Micah are top notch instructors, with deep knowledge of Thai and Dutch boxing techniques. Whether you want to get a great work out or you are training for your next fight, these are the guys.

The Atmosphere at Watson Martial Arts is AMAZING! When you join the gym it's like finding your home away from home. Kyle Watson is a serious instructor with a passion for Jiu Jitsu and Martial Arts! Kyle actually teaches classes and doesn't just sell you on his name. Kyle is the REAL DEAL! Kyle cares about his students and takes the time to make sure you fully understand the techniques that you learn while training there. Other instructors include Jason Ciluffo & Micah Bagby, who know what they're talking about when it comes to Muay Thai and Dutch Kickboxing. Shout out to Nolan & Ricky as well! I fully enjoy training at this facility. There are a few other gyms in the St. Louis area that i like but there is something special about Watsons.. I can't put it into words really. If your looking for a place to train I highly recommend Watson Martial Arts! They have GREAT beginner classes too so don't feel intimidated. Stop in for a 2 week free trial and you won't regret it!

I visited from out of town, and had a great time training at Watson. They treated me like a team mate, and I had some great rolls. I would recommend training here to anyone in the St. Louis area, or those just visiting.

I highly recommend Watson Martial Arts! When you first walk in there's a cozy waiting area that is separated from the actual training area by a door, so if you're a family member or friend of someone who's training, or if you want to relax before class, you'll have a clean and comfy place to do it! It also smells very nice, which is not something you may typically expect from a gym. :) If you're new, you will always be greeted and given a tour in order to ease any nerves you may have upon entering a new place. The training area is very spacious and industrial looking. The mats and training equipment are very clean. The instructors are always ready to answer any questions you may have, as well as being willing to take any suggestions to improve the gym and further help you out! The people who actually train in the art are extremely welcoming and non-judgmental, which I think is an extremely important quality, especially in a gym. I wouldn't feel intimidated talking to anyone, and everyone is happy and ready to learn. If you're interested you do get a 2-week trial period before any signing up is necessary, so you can really get a feel for the place and the classes!
