Love this place. Great instructors. Friendly people to train with and also very talented. High competition and respectful partners that help you learn and not hurt you.

My son has been going to the school for a year now and loves the kid's classes and instructors. I have been going there for a few years and enjoy it very much. They have a massive amount of mat space, clean facility, and a wide variety of training partners and instructors. There are classes every day of the week, 3 a day during the week, two on the weekends each of those days. Saturday there is a family class where you can join in with your kids, which makes them very happy! Everyone is friendly, courteous and great to roll with. It has stepped up my game. If you're looking for big guys to roll with they have plenty there as well. Gary teaches many of the classes himself and always has great material he covers! This school has the best array of classes, instructors, space and more to work with your schedule. It's a must try if you're into Jits or just interested in seeing what it's all about.

Hands down the best school in town. Gary Grate has dedicated heart and soul to the lifestyle of BJJ. He is a driven and highly skilled man with a passion for the art. i have seen this school grow for a hand Paul of great people to an army of great people over the years I have know him. If you are looking for a top notch school try this one you will be impressed with the training environment.

The best. The instruction level of Gary Grate and the entire academy is top notch. My whole family (wife and two kids) trains together. With family class on Saturdays, this academy promotes a healthy atmosphere of family bonding and excellence. Marc and Kelly Hassel-Cramer have developed a children's program that is succeeding, is geared for longevity and will continue to grow. Honored to be at Charles Gracie Reno.

This is an excellent place to train! I visit Reno every other week on business and drop-in whenever I can. Gary and all of his students are VERY welcoming, friendly, and willing to share knowledge. The students I've rolled with ALL have solid technique and are tough as nails, a direct reflection of the top-notch instruction that Gary provides. If you're in the Reno area, I can't recommend this place highly enough.
