Sensei is an old fashioned instructor with immense knowledge and teaches well. This is not a ' participation trophy' dojo. Do your work and you'll be rewarded with skill and knowledge.

If you are looking for an excellent martial arts school then Sensei Ramos is the real deal. My son has been attending beginner karate classes at Excelsior Martial Arts since he was six. I appreciate the patience and quality of instruction at Excelsior Martial Arts. Observing Sensei Ramos train a class of younger students is a display of expertise and patience. My son absolutely loves his karate lessons. Some days he does better than others, but he is learning balance, consistence, discipline and effort. Maybe he will continue studying martial arts or perhaps he will move on to other interests as he gets older. Either way, I am 100% conviced that he will always benefit from the excellent instruction he receives from Sensei Ramos.

Great Dojo to learn traditional Japanese and Okinawan martial arts from one of the best teachers. As a student of the combat jujitsu class, I enjoy the diversity of fighting techniques offered in the curriculum. Some of which includes striking, pressure points, throws, small joint manipulation and ground fighting. My fitness has also improved since joining with the practice of traditional hojo undo weight training offered at the Dojo as well as the kobudo weapon training practiced at the dojo. It’s hard to find a teacher as knowledgeable and passionate as Sensei Ramos but i’ve found one at Excelsior Martial Arts.

I looked for a long time for real combat jujitsu and finally found it here. I appreciate that rank is not bought but earned. Additionally, the dojo is huge, clean and offers lots of parking. They also offer MMA, Shorin Ryu Karate, Women's kickboxing and Bojutsu. Sensei Ramos has a very qualified background in martial arts as well as an instructor.
