Amazing place! Its not all about kicks and punches! You learn discipline, respect, and focus! Mr. Perkins is a wonderful instructor! He's an easy going instructor who pushes you to the best of your abilities! Best karate school in the universe!! Defiantly would recommend this to anyone!

My child has been attending Elite Martial Arts since it opened. I am very impressed with the curriculum and Mr. Perkins' involvement with the students. We knew of Mr. Perkins' talent, his dedication to martial arts and his attitude towards his students, prior to him opening Elite Martial Arts. When we heard that he was opening his own Dojang, we couldn't sign up our child fast enough. There are many people in the Martial Arts 'industry' that are very talented and experienced. But Mr. Perkins seems to have a knack for working with younger students, explaining what martial arts really means, not just something for show. He is genuinely concerned with the whole student, not just what happens at his Dojang. He stresses that the students' performance at home and in school is just as important as their performance at Elite martial Arts, and he takes this seriously. But he does this all with a friendly, calm demeanor, he has very good communications skills. But don't think that he limits his school to children, he teaches all ages, you're never too old to start learning from Mr. Perkins. For the 'front office' of the school, that is run by Bonnie, Mr. Perkins' mother. But to the young students, she is 'Aunt Bonnie'. She keeps the business aspects of Elite running smooth, all while doing arts and crafts for the students. How she keeps this all organized is beyond me. Not only do the students bow in/out to Mr. Perkins, they also have the same respect for Bonnie and bow in and out to her also. As for the Dojang itself, the google street map image of the building is not up to date. There are new owners of the building and it has been completely renovated. Since the street map picture has been taken, the entire storefront has been updated and Elite has doubled in size acquiring the floor space to the right of the original Elite Dojang. If you are interested in signing up your child, or looking for yourself, do yourself a favor, just observe Mr. Perkins while he has class, you will be impressed. Elite is generally open from 4-8pm M-Th, and Sat. open from 9am - 12, closed Fridays and Sunday. Please call them to ensure the schedule has not changed.
