Aside from the high level of technical knowledge, the best thing about the Eugene Budokan is that Ortega Shihan genuinely cares for every student he has. No one will ever have a more inspiring or generous instructor.

My son started taking martial arts classes at the Eugene Budokan 3 years ago. Before my son cried about everything and was not very active he was shy and scared easily. The instructors where very patient and took the time to understand my son and his needs. Today my son has lots of friends and is very social among adults and his piers he is well spoken he is confident in him self and is more comfortable starting new things. I would recommend this school to any parent looking for a place that will make a positive change in your child.

I really have made this place my home away from home. I met a lot of new friends, I have got into better shape. The instructors always find a way to inspire me and they have a good sense of humor. I have been training here since summer 2007 and I really recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an education in the martial arts from great instructors in a family enviroment.

I've been training at the Eugene Budokan for a couple years and its by far one of the best decisions I've made. I have met the greatest people there, and the atmosphere is like no other dojo I've trained at before. I absolutely recommend for people to go there!
