I'm 66 years old and was able to complete my training and receive my 1st degree black belt in four years. The entire experience was done with professional on hands training by my instructors. I recommend this school to everyone..no matter your age.

My son started Mu Sool Won a few months ago. He was at a previous karate school in south Austin for the last year 3 years. I want to say how happy I am with his new school. They really care about the kids and make it so much about them. Ricky and his wife are amazing marital artist and really work well with children. They are also great role models too. In the short time that my son has been there he has learned so much. Ricky is always talking to the parents, answering questions and really has a lot of patience with teaching the kids. Most importantly, the kids are having a great time doing it. It's very affordable and you get quality hands on instruction for you kiddos. I see many adults coming in after the kids classes and the adults seem to be having just as much fun. I highly recommend Mu Sool Won to any kids/adults looking for a good martial arts school. I always read reviews on places I’m interested in so I thought I would be sure to leave a good one for them. - Ann Marie

The owners/primary instructors are absolutely fantastic. Seemingly rare for martial arts schools, they have a great adult program on top of their children's program. There are plenty of adult classes on the schedule, and the instructors are very good about modifying the classes to accommodate medical conditions/limitations (like it or not, we all get more limited in what we can handle as we get older) Classes are constantly changing, and the variety is good to help keep you interested. It's a good mix of exercise for the mind and body, incorporating forms, joint lock techniques, pressure points, falling technique, occasional intense workouts, and whatever else the instructor feels like the class needs.

After trying a few other schools we found Mu sool Won of South Austin. My 8 year old son has been going now for over two years and loves it. The classes are so flexible that they will fit just about any working parents schedule. The instructors are great and the kids learn how to be great leaders. The kids/parents nights out are always a blast and looked forward to by the whole family. The classes are very affordable compared to other schools when you consider your child can take as many classes as they like for no additional cost.
