Our Family has been seeing Dr. Monette for 7 years now. He has been GREAT! He takes the time to explain exactly what he is doing and why he is doing it so that you completely understand the procedure that you are about to undertake. He rebuilt my entire lower front teeth due to years of night grinding. Not only do my teeth look great now, but he also set me up with a night guard to protect my teeth from further damage. I highly recommend Dr. Monette!

Dr. Monette and his staff offer what I call the whole package. This can be hard to find and I can be picky. The environment is relaxing, simple and sweet. While you cannot see the ocean, you can certainly sense it's there. A nice breeze comes through the office, no "stuffiness". The whole staff is accommodating, kind, patient and helpful. Dr. Monette is respectful, thorough, caring, pleasant, and puts you at ease in addition to being an amazing, skillful dentist. Both Dr. Monette and his assistant Greg help to make you feel comfortable and safe. They work well as a team to get you in and out with good timing and a job well done. I like how Dr. Monette communicates with you the whole time during a procedure, checking in with you and letting you know what is being done and what you may feel, etc. The parking is close and easy. The office is in a one level building, so you don't have to deal with underground parking and elevators. Park right out front of the office front door, easy in, easy out. I'm always seen as soon as I get there, I've never had to wait. It's a little drive for us, but it's well worth it. If I had to I would drive an hour or more to see him... especially since visits are only typically about 2-3 times a year. My husband now sees Dr. Monette too and is so happy we found him! I wish all my family and friends could have him as their dentist.

The actual dental service (cleaning, staff, environment, equipment) are all top notch. My only complaint is the constant up-selling attitude (more services, more treatments, more non-dental evaluations). In particular, the recent inclusion of sleep apnea consultation should be reconsidered. While well-meaning and an important affliction to be aware of, even a false positive from a dentist leading to "harmless" evaluation can have significant negative financial, legal, and medical consequences for people with professional medical certifications (example: commercial or private pilot medical certification). While apnea is a serious condition and should be taken as such, Dr. Monette needs to realize the possible implications of his exuberant diagnoses.

I wonder if "upselling" is the word that should be used. As a dentist myself that treats sleep apnea and provides many other services such as Six Month Smiles Clear Braces and Botox/Juvaderm I think it is more of a "this is what we can offer you" attitude. Many times patients don't even know what's possible. If you think about it, a dentist is on the frontline of SCREENING for sleep apnea. We see our patients more than physicians and we stare at airways all day long. Plus there are about 30 dental signs and symptoms of undiagnosed sleep apnea which does happen in up to 80% of sleep apneics. At NO point do dentists diagnose. The dental team just helps screen those patients that are flying under the radar and helping those that can't tolerate CPAP- the gold standard. But of course, it's only the gold standard if it is used.

Everything about the experience was pleasant and easy to understand. Both the staff and doctor were excellent.
