Within 3 months of treatment by Dr. Tregaskes, my headaches were 80% better. Every other person I saw said I needed surgery, but with orthotics from Dr. T, I've been doing great for over 3 years now. I had Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and he is extremely knowledgeable. His bedside manner is AMAZING, his entire staff is so friendly, and I've had nothing but great experiences. We travel from Delaware to see him because it is worth it.

Paid over $200 for the consultation and wanted to have my X-rays sent to my dentist at VCU, they wanted to charge me another $300 to send my x-rays "because I didn't pay for them, I only paid for the doctor's time." I would have appreciated someone telling me that before the appointment. Treatment for TMJ symptoms was quoted at $4,000+. Another similar orthodontist took my x-rays and did a consultation for free and sent my x-rays to my dentist free of charge (White Orthodontics). Treatment there was also pricey but they at least offered to let me keep my x-rays.

Without this doctor I would be in serious trouble (TMJ issues). I hope that I can start braces with him in the next 6 months or so.

When I started seeing Dr. Tregaskes, I was having non-stop headaches on a daily basis. In the year since, he's helped me get these under control, to the point that my headaches are almost 100% better. I've moved from Richmond in the last few months, but he's been nothing but helpful when I call for advice or as I've been looking for a new specialist. I can't recommend him and his office enough. Without them, I'd still be in a ton of pain. If you think you have a TMJ issue, this is the only place in Richmond to go. As a side note, insurance generally isn't accepted up front for tmj expenses; check with your insurer up front to make sure they'll cover it based on the receipts. You probably won't get everything back, but I was able to recoup about half of the cost this way.
