Seattle Special Care Dentistry

I've been going to this office for 7 years now. I was afraid to have instruments in my mouth, afraid to even be in a dental office so I was referred here. They offered IV sedation so I could have all my teeth cleaned in one long visit. With their gentle touch I've saved all but two teeth! Now my gums are in very good shape, Doc Winston gave me a beautiful smile without braces too. The male hygienist and the young dentist that started the special office have kept me coming even when I moved 3 hours away!

I have been going to this group for years, and it is the best I have ever used. The dentists are great, and my hygienist is the best ever. He is serious about dental hygiene education, and willing to discuss home care at length. I can't give them enough praise.

All of the staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to give every patient the best care possible. I live an hour away and still make the drive because of how excellent SSC Dentistry is with every aspect of dentistry. Impeccable customer service, could not more highly recommend!

After a short consultation I started a root canal here which was going to require two separate appointments. At the end of my first appointment I was given a small business card with the time and date of my next appointment which was set for a week later. The day before my appointment I they called and to remind me about my appointment but the they told me my appointment was supposed to be at 8AM when the card had said 2pm. Normally a small administrative issue like this wouldn't bother me, but when I asked the receptionist when I could reschedule for I was told they wouldn't be able to accommodate me until February (My first appointment was in September and the second was originally scheduled for early October). Not only did the wait seem ridiculous, but potentially negligent as they had put a temporary filling into my mouth at the end of the first appointment which they said would last 1-2 months. So now I am stuck trying to find another office that can accommodate me sometime within this 2 month window before my filling falls apart and the hole they opened up for the root canal is totally exposed. Additionally, during the first appointment it was clear that I had been assigned a new inexperienced dentist because every 15-20 mins another dentist would come over and take a look at what my assigned dentist had done. He would critique the work of the other dentist saying things like " you went a little to far here" and " you need to open this side up more" ect. While I understand the need to give experience and feedback to the less experienced dentists, the constant checking in over the course of the 3 hour appointment (which was supposed to be 90 mins) made me feel extremely uncomfortable, its hard not to be freaked out when someone literally tells the dentist who has been working on you that they screwed up. I am sure that this office normally does much better work than this but my experience was so bad and they did so little to try and make things right that I felt a need to share.

The best customer service, doctors, hygienists, dental assistant. Never got disappointed by them
