Don't shop here the staff is terrible. It's evident they do not care about you as a customer. I bought my engagement ring here and opted for the year of interest free financing. I came in to pay a large amount and when I asked to split the payment between cash and credit the salesman says no credit but debit is fine which is perfectly okay and understandable so I say debit and cash and he still insisted on doing separate transactions "just in case it doesn't go through" even after I reassured him it would. When it came time for the debit payment he didn't attempt to hide the fact he thought I wouldn't be able to afford to pay the amount on my debit. After my payment processed he smugly asked me "was it approved" as if he was anticipating a no. Why would a salesman need to ask a customer that? When they can clearly see it themselves. Don't shop here, you can see a noticeably disturbing pattern in their reviews it's not worth it

I bought a ring for myself and after week of owning it the stone came loose and needed to be reset. This process took 3 weeks and upon reopening it was loose again, effectively wasting my time. I attempted this again after some time, only to be met with the same result.

I waited and no one even acknowledged I was there and I just ended up walking away. Awful customer service , why would I spend my money here ?

I am livid right now. Ordered a ring for my daughter online on Dec 6, 2017. Was told the same as Steve Greer (previous review) that I'd receive an email when it was at the store. December 21st I called the store, they did not have the package, online customer service confirmed it was delivered and should be there on the 24th at the latest. Called the store again, no package. I gave my daughter a picture of the ring for Christmas- chalked it up to busy holiday season. Today after calling online customer service again, a very helpful Carla tracked it down. It was delivered via Canada Post to the store on December 12th, 2 weeks before Christmas. The store had not checked their community mail box, telling me they don't typically receive packages that way. I asked why wouldn't you think to check at least once especially during the holiday season??? I'm not sure why it was sent via CP when typically they say they receive packages via UPS or why the store wouldn't think to check their mailbox - head office needs to clarify some of these issues between their online and in store processes. What I do know is that I won't be purchasing anything from Peoples again - very disappointing experience

Purchased a ring and was advised that a sale was coming the following day, so I put down a deposit and would pay the balance on the sale day to take advantage of the new price. The sales rep insisted that she was going to give me the floor model, even though I made it obvious I was not comfortable with that. She also seemed to be a recent part time hire who was there simply for a job as she wasn't able to answer my questions, and sounded very unsure of herself when she did give an answer. I was going back and forth between the Peoples' ring and one from The Diamond Company who had very knowledgeable staff and had answered my questions, but I was seeking validation of the answers from Peoples. Ultimately I liked the Peoples' ring better so I went with that one. Anyways I went home and slept on the "shop worn" ring I was to receive, and I really was not comfortable with this. I called back this morning to ask that I receive a new ring, and was met with a bunch of "I think we can do that", "oh of course", "sure", "uh.. maybe", "ya just come in and we'll talk". This different rep then proceeded to bombard me with reasons why the ring was still good as new, and "who knows maybe only you wore it" as if she was trying to convince to buy the "shop worn" ring. Yes that makes sense since I've seen that same ring in store for a few weeks. I am very unhappy that they tried to tell me what to think/feel about my own wedding ring that I was purchasing. Also the fact that they were trying to randomly come up with counters to my accurate statement is a testament to their training, your companies' customer server standards, and the amount of care they give about the customers. HORRIBLE customer service, sadly your ring was nicer than The Diamond Company. I wish we could give less than 1 star.
