Purchased wife’s wedding rings from Oshawa location. It was a terrible experience. Dates of when the rings were coming in weren’t correct. I bought a wedding band and engagement ring set and the band wasn’t there at the time, which was fine. Engagement ring sent out to get sized and was supposed to come back with the band. When I went to pick up the engagement ring, there was no band and they questioned if there was supposed to be a band. Good thing I always bring all my paperwork with me. When the band did eventually come in, it was the wrong band. The diamonds did not match up with the engagement, there were not enough. The ring needed to be re-sent out for sizing, and we were told it would be 2 to 3 weeks. I called two weeks later, to get an update. I was told that it was still sitting in one of the employees boxes waiting to go out. I felt it was warranted to make a complaint about the issues we were having, and no one wanted to take responsibility. If it wasn’t for my wife loving the ring, I would have taken it back so I didn’t have to deal with all of the nonsense anymore. I voiced this to the manager there. I didn’t Feel as though she cared, herself and the assistant manager Ryan were also the main two people were dealt with. If management acts this way, it’s hard to expect any better from staff. That is why I have decided to review this. With this being said, and keeping the ring, We went to the Pickering Michael Hill. We have had a pleasurable experience there.

The prices are ok (jewellery is overprice for what it is anyway). If you ask for some kind of a discount prepare yourself for dirty looks. They don't seem to understand some people are gonna want the best price they can get, no matter how cheap or expensive the item is. I'm just gonna to one of the many other jewellery stores in the mall from now on, Michael Hill doesn't deserve my time or money.

My husband wanted to have his tungsten ring resized but the manager on training kept him waiting for like weeks. He was like visiting the store for a couple of times and was calling this manager on training many times. Its unbelievable that the manager was not getting any solution to his request. Not until we met a senior sales associate (im not totally sure but i think her name is Elize/Eliza) and she told us that she noticed we have been coming back and forth to their old store and even to their newly opened new store. She asked the problem and in just a minute or two, she handed over a replacement for the ring. We wished that she have handled us earlier to prevent disappointment from our experiences with the manager-on-training. And I would have given just 1 star to this establishment as a rating if not for her.

First time buyer from this brand of jewellery stores. Overall it was a good experience. We did drop off the ring to get it resized so I will update the review how it goes. Friendly staff and no complaints. Purchased a morganite stone ring. My instagram @agentselva
