Very unprofessional service at this location. Called on several occasions and it goes straight to voicemail. I had purchased several items and was told it had to be ordered because it was not in stock, and it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. 4 weeks later and I have yet to receive the items I purchased. When I went into the store in person, I was told the SKU was incorrectly written down by the sales associate, and the purchase did not go through. They then needed me to describe the items I purchased so they could resend the order. What I am wondering is why no one called to tell me this, and if I had not gone it, nothing would have been done. The items I ordered were Christmas gifts, but at this point, it doesn’t look like I’ll be getting it on time. Very disappointing!

I think the customer service is very good here. Cathy was very helpful. I bought both our weddings bands here. We also got the insurance on our ring and I actually just used it. No questions asked. I chipped part of my ring (my fault) and they took it and replaced it with a brand new one (or they fixed it). Regardless I had to returned to me within a week - Free (becuase I paid for the insurance which I believe was super cheap extra $100). I had no problems with this store.

I went to Michael Hill to purchase a engagement ring I was lucky enough do deal with Christina, who had above and beyond customer service skills. My girlfriend and I were treated absolutely amazing and we were able to pick out the perfect ring. I gave them a 5 star review because of how amazing we were treated and I would strongly recommend that anyone going there as to see Christina.

I also had a disappointing experience at this store. I recently went in to get my engagement ring cleaned (my fault for going 10 minutes before close). The original lady that I asked (older lady, grey hair and glasses) told a younger associate to take it to the back and clean it. But then, right in front of me, she corrected herself and told the girl: "I mean just wipe it." Um... hello!!! I have microfiber cloth at home people!! If I wanted to wipe it I could do that myself. Definitely not going to buy my wedding band from them if they can't even clean my engagement ring (which was purchased from them)!

First of all, never try to judge any company based on an overall rating score that is derived from years of people not doing enough research and having a bad experience based on how they approached their goal. Secondly, It took me 4-5 months to look for the right ring. I went from peoples, to Mappins (before it closed) to diamond company and to Raffi and to any where to be honest. Michael hill was the last place i thought to find a ring. I walked in knowing what i wanted and was very sure about my price range and didn't want to get man handled by any agent (like the way peoples or Diamond & Co does). I met Cathy and she instantly shown me that honesty, kindness and humor can go a long way. Whether its for a sale or not, you represent your company on all facets and she showed me a few options that were in my price range without pushing me towards something that i couldn't work with. When i tell you it took me 4 -5 months, it literally did because anyone i met at the stores (other than Michael hills) was either haste or really ignorant towards my demands. When i would try to leave those places they would literally grab my hand and say wait wait i can get you this ring (which was at 1700) to 1690. First of all that's not a discount and that's ridiculous if you are trying to keep someone there to offer a ridiculous reduction like that. Michael hill, speaks for itself, and the works there from Cathy to Prity know how to treat their clients with respect and patience. It still took me a day to think about the ring but once i went back in there, seeing their deals and discounts, was truly life changing. If you want the best service in Canada, and for the best price but still get a High quality, clarity, and color ring; look no further Michael hill has your back.
