The store has poor communication from their staff. I purchased a watch as an anniversary gift for my spouse. I was told at the time of purchase that if he didn’t like it then he could return it OR exchange it for a watch of his liking. My spouse liked the watch BUT we noticed after a couple of weeks that the watch kept losing time by five to ten minutes. I returned to the store and Nancy, the store manager, replaced the current battery with a new one. After an additional week of wear, my spouse told me it’s still losing time. We returned to the store with the watch, explained and reminded Nancy that even though she replaced the battery, it’s still losing time. We requested to return it and she refused. She said I needed to refer to the bottom print on the receipt that states you have 14 days to exchange the item. I told her that she never explained that to me at the time of purchase and reminded her she made mention to me that he could bring it back if he didn’t like it. Her reply to that was to read the bottom of the receipt.
After an exchange of words, she offered to keep the watch over night and let her manager have a look at it the following day and make the decision regarding my purchase. She promised to call me the following day.
They called me as promised and left a voice mail stating the watch did not loose one minute of time and that I can return to pick up my spouses watch.
I called Nancy and told her that it’s hard to believe there was no lapsed time due to my spouses experiences with the same watch. I asked her if I could exchange it for something else as I am now stuck with an item that doesn’t work. Nancy raised her voice to me on the phone expressing her dissatisfaction with my spouse who expressed his thoughts on the stores poor policy and management skills.......that’s when I asked her why she felt it necessary to raise her voice to me when I’m the client? I returned to the store a few days later and picked up the watch .....a watch that doesn’t work ....a watch that’s useless to my spouse now.
I would never refer anyone to this store. Unprofessional staff, poor management skills and a lack of communicating what you can expect with any purchase made.
I have tested it myself. Set the watch at 8 am this mor morning and checked at 8:38 pm tonight ..... surprisingly ,it’s slow by five minutes!
I’ll be seeking a second opinion - at my expense - regarding the watch loosing time
BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IS NEXT ON MY LIST.
And they removed my spouses post on this Facebook page. Hmmmm, something to hide????
