Had a wonderful customer service experience at this location over the weekend. I went with a friend who was looking for the perfect engagement ring and they were so helpful and patient and showed us every ring and explained the process without being judgey or condescending.

Great place to go for all your jewelry needs! The best person to talk to when it comes to shopping here is Sevdet! She is pleaeant and happy to help you!

BUYER BEWARE. Two horrible customer service experiences at this location in a row. I had a necklace that I wanted to exchange there. When I inquired how much the necklace was worth (so I could see what else I could get for the same value), the sales associate, I believe her name was Mathu, would not tell me the price of the necklace. She told me it ‘depended on the person’. When I asked why there would be different prices for different people, she said it depended on if they ‘asked for a discount’ or if there were a sale that day. I asked her to just tell me what the price was if I were to buy it today. She finally pulled the necklace out and gave me the price. Beyond frustrating. I decided to just return the necklace another day when I had the receipt with me. When I went in to return it, I was asked where it was purchased. I told them it was from another store. I waited at the counter for 20 minutes until a manager was available. Cody, a manager in training, wouldn’t even come out from the back and had another sales associate tell me that they couldn’t return it there because they had a ‘new system’ and it wouldn’t work. They said I had to go back to the store it was purchased from to return it because it wasn’t in their system. Frustrated, I left and drove across town to another location to return it. In the meantime I managed to contact someone at head office who informed me that this wasn’t the case and I should have been able to return it at any location in Canada. To the credit of the staff at Limeridge, they processed the transaction with no issue and the staff there were lovely. I called Cody back at Mapleview to explain why he wouldn’t process my return. He maintained the excuse of ‘the system not working’. Which may have been a legitimate reason if they had even attempted to help process my return instead of just sending me away so they wouldn’t have a return on their sales that day. Ridiculous. You can get better quality at a lower price point at several other jewellers. Particularly independent ones. My frustration is extended from the terrible customer service we received after purchasing my engagement and wedding band there. Highly regrettable. I would never purchase another item from Michael Hill and would never, ever recommend buying anything from this company. Horrible customer service once they have your money.

WONDERFUL customer service!! After a few horrible customer service experiences at another location, I planned on never purchasing from Michael Hill again. After visiting Mapleview and speaking with Matt, I definitely plan on purchasing mine and my fiances wedding band here and probably other jewelry as well! Very happy! Thanks Matt!
