What appeared to be the manager was condescending and down right rude. Was looking at rings and they didn’t have the ring I was wanting to look at in person. I quickly asked a few questions about their online policy versus in store. Woman acted as if I was wasting her time and brushes off the question. If I’m going to be spending $1000 or more I want to see if it’s actually a nice ring. After this cold exchange I asked if I could get sized woman rolled her eyes and said “yeah fine I’ll get the sizers”. I would stick to online or another jewelr. This store is one to avoid. Staff seem like they only care about the commission.

If I could rate it 0 I would. Back in January I picked out a promise ring for my girlfriend, it was a nice silver diamond ring. I got it for a reasonable price, but my girlfriend was a size 7 and apparently they only had a size 6 in the store and that's all the carried. I decided I'd take my chances and see if it would fit snuggly but I purchased the warranty incase I needed it to be resized. Well sure enough it did, I went back and they said that I would have to pay another 100$ for a shank to be added, and even though I was told the warranty would cover it they denied it. I decided not to have it added on after arguing with the girl saying the price of silver was only .54/g and she kept throwing in labour and shipping and other stuff. I ended up just getting it resized but before I did I reminded them to put on the rohdium plating afterwards. 3 weeks later I pick it up and they say it's all done I ask about the rohdium and they assure me it's done. After one day the ring started turning black. I only assumed that they didn't put the rohdium on it was starting to react with stuff. So fast forwad a week my gf has stopped wearing the ring and we decided to go to people's on Tanger and right away they said the Bayshore people Infact did not Dip it in rodhium and that they would polish it and dip it no problem and get it back to me as soon as possible.

I went to the Peoples in Bayshore twice with the intention of buying a wedding band, but was ignored by the sales people both times, so I took my business elsewhere. The third time I went to Peoples, I had to get my engagement ring inspected and was left to sit and wait to speak to someone while 3 sales ladies stood at the back and chatted, without even acknowledging my existence. Also, within the first year of having my engagement ring, one of the claws broke on it. In future, I will definitely not buy from there and I will be advising all of my friends not to either.

I recently got engaged in July of this year! I absolutely love my ring. I asked my Fiance how he picked out my ring and he told me the manager helped him pick it out - thank you so much! It totally suits me and I plan to get my wedding band there too. I brought my ring to get sized (he purchased the warranty so no cost!) and it took closer to 3 weeks, which I wished was faster. I was worried the ring would look difference after the sizing, but it was perfect! I'm glad my ring is from peoples as I have purchased many items at Peoples in Ottawa and i'm always happy with the service! I think my next purchase will be a Movado watch as I need to get my Fiance a special gift too! -Jenny
