This was actually the second time I had gone to Marcus to discuss disposing of my items. The first time was (maybe) two years ago, and I was impressed enough to remember them and return again today. Totally awesome experience!!! The buyer was friendly and knowledgeable, discussed the various items that I had brought in, and gave values with no pressure to sell. I could hear his colleague giving expert advice to another client about watches and jewellery that she had brought in. The people there are all friendly and most knowledgeable, they take their time to closely examine your items right in front of you, they are happy to answer questions, and they do not pressure you to sell to them or offer you a higher price if you sell today. Should you decide to sell, you are paid on the spot, with your choice of cash or, if you are not comfortable to carry cash, a cheque. I would totally recommend Marcus to anyone who has items of value such as coins, jewellery, or silverware, and who may want to sell, or simply wants to know what they are worth. How do I know if their offer was the best? Obviously I don't, but there was a very comfortable feeling about them, from the armed security, to their friendly dogs, and to the openness and knowledge of the buyers. I don't know why there are negative reviews that talk about rudeness and low-balling, as my experience was nothing less than most pleasant. I have no connection with this business, just a guy off the street, but I was most impressed and can recommend them enthusiastically.

I have only purchased from this jewellery store (never sold to them) but I have had many good experiences. It’s a great place for my husband to purchase gifts for me for Christmas, Anniversaries or Birthdays. It’s great when they open to the public at Christmas time although you can phone to make arrangements to go in at other times of the year. They have beautiful unique pieces and the service has always been excellent and the prices better than retail. Mary the owner and the staff are always very nice and never mind me trying on items just for the fun of it. Their rings and earrings are just beautiful. Highly recommend looking for special pieces here. I do have a favourite retail jewellers in the mall but this store is extra special to shop when they have their open to the public times.

I have had two excellent experiences at Marcus & Company Estate Buyers and was treated respectfully and fairly on both occasions. I wanted to get the best price I could get on two much loved Patek Philippe watches and was pleasantly surprised at Marcus' expertise, depth of knowledge and respect for the brand. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marcus & Co to friends and family.

Very pleasant, genuine and came through on his verbal agreement that is a true rarity in this increasingly crazy world. I very much enjoyed selling to Mr Marcus, prices are very competitive and after comprehensive research efforts it turns out Marcus had the best deal all along, I am now telling friends that save their time and go straight to Marcus.

Had some old jewellery to sell and saw their ad in the Toronto Star. Decided to go there and see what I could get for the jewellery. They are located in a nondescript industrial complex but the place is secure - you need to be buzzed in and there is armed security onsite. Marcus was there himself and he was happy to take a look at the jewellery. Found him to be friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The man knows everything about gold and diamonds. There was no pressure to sell and he offered a very fair price. Payment can be had with either cash or cheque. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to sell their valuables.
