CUSTOM JEWELRY MADE
My fiance's family have been coming to eternity fine jewelry for years so naturally when he was looking to purchase my engagement ring he decided to come here. He had spent some time creating a custom made ring which is beautiful. After proposing and the ring was actually being worn one of the small diamonds had fallen out after being worn twice to dinner in Cuba. When coming back we had brought the ring in to be resized and for the diamond to be fixed. Once picking up the ring upon further inspection I had seen that the diamond they had replaced was smaller and there had been markings on the band and the coloring was off. When bringing it back they had realized they somehow "forgot" to re-plate the ring and stated that the diamond is not smaller ( i had brought the ring into another jewelry the other day for them to tell me that it is in fact smaller).
After receiving the ring back I had been extremely careful with it for fear of another diamond falling out. One day when going out shopping I had worn my ring, came back home and had a good look at it. Went to hang a few blouses up, sat back down just to notice the main stone was cracked and chipped !
When I had come in I simply stated " sir i'm a little upset to be honest, at first a diamond fell out and when being resized the ring was not fully completed and given back and now the main stone had cracked while doing absolutely nothing. In the 1 month of having it I've had to come back three times". The OWNER had accused me of yelling at him and started saying that he is not going to help me if i keep yelling. I am NOT one to yell, I was simply expressing that i'm upset. After telling him over and over again that I was never yelling he kept insisting because he clearly did not want to spend the money to fix the issue. At the time my finance was parking the car and the second he walked through the doors the owner, in some sort of acting shard threw his arms in the air saying " That's it, i'm not helping you if you keep yelling". At that point I said again," sir I am not yelling, and I was never yelling" then he begins to ignore me and turn to my fiance and starts to bad mouth me to him. I began to cry and had to run out of the store. My fiance said that after I had left the owner said " if she comes back right now and apologies ill fix it". I was in tears and couldn't stop crying, there was no way I was going back in there to be accused of something that I was not doing, even though prior I had already told the man that I am sorry if he had thought I was yelling but I am just always a loud talker (my friends and family are always telling me to talk quieter when in public).
We had to ask my mother in law to come in to have it sorted out.
Three weeks later my fiance went to pick up the ring and the man had said " This is the last time, this was a favor".
Absolutely the worst customer service. The owner is a cheap, cheap man that clearly used cheap materials and doesn't want to own up to it.
Just a little side note, I wear a fake ring that is Cubic zirconia, pretty much looks exactly the same as my real ring minus the difference in the main stone and the mental (my real ring is white gold and my fake ring is stainless steel). While my ring was being fixed I made sure to wear my fake one 24/7, I cooked with it, I cleaned with it, I showered with it,I went to the gym with it, I slept with it. Cubic zirconia is the same strength as blue topaz at a level 8 on the mohs scale, so I simply wanted to see if my fake ring would chip if I put it up to the test and it had not which goes to show that the blue topaz quality they had used was awful.
