Thought it would be a good idea to check out this store and see if there was anything I liked. After checking the store hours to make sure it was open and driving 30 minutes, I arrived to find the store closed when it was supposed to be open. No note saying closed for any reason. Very frustrating, I probably won't try this store again nor would I suggest it to my friends if it's not open when it's supposed to be. Store hasn't been open when it says on the website and nothing to go by on the open hours sign. It might have a nice flashy website but not worth the effort of anyone to try and get to.

Small consignment shop. The owner has excellent taste in what she consigns and over the years I have purchased many many things from verified antique desks to a 100 year old table and chair, much jewelry and anything else that catches my eye when I walk in there. I love the casual attitude Lianne has including bringing her dog to work with her. So if you are allergic, be forewarned. If you're stuck up or snooty or plan on driving to get here, may I suggest you call first. Like all of us, sometimes life gets in the way and since she is the sole proprietor it happens. I see some reviews here that do not give an honest depiction of this establishment, especially from new Reviewers. Clearly you are here to complain about an issue, not give a review of the overall business. You are doing this company a disservice as I know better that one issue does not a 1* review make.

After landing on the website for this store, I was intrigued. Intrigued enough to drive 20 Minutes completely out of my way to go look at a chair I comptemplated buying. It was 2 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon. According to the business description provided by google, the store is supposed to be open from 11-7 on Wednesday. We get there greeted by a locked door. The hours of operation sign hanging in the door is not on. The sign hanging on the wall next to the door has the hours of operation completely removed. I tried calling the business, went to voicemail - hours not available via voice message either. No note indicating the store owner was away for a bit/emergency situation. The entrance looks nice though, outdoor rugs, urns with fake plants... I guess it's just for show! Really unfortunate because I much prefer supporting mom and pop shops over big box stores, but if you can't be bothered to communicate your hours of operation to the community, how can you possibly expect to stay in business?

The store was left unattended on Saturday. The police ended up there trying to get Lianne on the phone. Hope everything is alright.

Unlike the other shill reviews for this business, this one is real. The owner, Lianne Watt, has taken an elderly couple (in their 70s, one is close to legally blind) for close to $300 by selling a damaged product and refusing to stand behind her word. The seniors asked me to retrieve the said product after they had no strength to do it themselves. The owner threatened and then called Ottawa Police in order to get the sale over. This despicable behaviour needs to be heard. I strongly advise anyone shopping at this store to think twice, or at least inspect the product with a great detail. Bring flashlights - the lights at the store are dimmed on purpose ... so that you cannot see any defects until you have paid.
