I dropped off a ring to get resized and I was given an estimated date of completion 2 weeks later. Over a month later after not having received any phone calls from them, I decided to call to check on the status and I was told that the place they send the ring to was really busy and to be a little patient. It would have been nice to get a phone call to update me on the status but fair enough..I can wait a bit longer. I waited another month and still no phone call from them so I gave them a call myself to check on the status. I was told that they had received a cost estimate 2 weeks prior and were waiting for my approval before doing the work. I don't know why they couldn't bother calling me so at this point I'm getting pretty frustrated. I told them to go ahead with the work and to let me know when it comes in. Now 2 weeks later and still not having received a call from them, I decided to check on the status once more and what do you know... they had received the ring 2 days earlier and still didn't bother calling me. The whole process took 2.5 months just to have a ring resized. When I went to pick it up the sales person was rude and couldn't get rid of us fast enough. She didn't even take the time to see if the ring fit and whether we were satisfied with the work or not. I personally will never do business there again.

I bought a $2400 engagement ring with them. I had the ring in several times for servicing all was good. I got them to tighten the prongs on the ring 2 yrs after purchase keep in mind I had a lifetime warranty. So they tightened the prongs and a month later one of the diamonds fell out. We brought it in they said they wouldn't replace the $600.00 diamond. I fought tooth and nail with very little success. Furthermore if you yourself look up a number for head office you won't find it. The only thing you'll get is an online customer service which will get you on the phone with an American agent. I went that route. I was told a division head would call me. Never happened. I emailed as many people as I could and was in and out of the store numerous times. What I've learned is Peoples Jewellers is possibly the worst choice to purchase jewellery from so save yourself the misery and head ache and just buy from another store. Try and avoid Mappins they're owned by the same people. Thanks Peoples Jewellers for nothing!
