Researched thoroughly online before going to these guys. I was not disappointed. They x-ray every individual piece so it tells you right there in front of you what the percentage of precious metal is even if it's gold plating over other metals, giving you the compositions of everything. They even stayed almost an hour after closing with me due to my having so much of my recently deceased mother's belongings that I had to sell for the estate. Guys, thank you so very much for making something so difficult and emotional easier to do. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY! :)

Simple. Honest. Everything is done right in front of you. Nice people. Recommend.

The customer service was worthy of a gold star. Warm, friendly and nothing like the lack luster decor. I did not mind the lack of "frills" in the decor though. If they spent too much on their office space, I'd likely get less for what I was selling to offset that. I have no experience selling but the prices seemed fair enough. I appreciated how each piece was checked carefully. I.e. I had one ring which was oddly 17K white gold instead of 18K. They checked it at all angles to ensure it was not 18K. This is an honest business. I received an invoice clearly indicating weights & prices so nothing was sketchy here as reviews of other places show. I would gladly return to buy and sell here and would refer the best of friends to this joint.

Although I had read the reviews online I was still a bit skeptical about selling a set of gold coins I had, as I heard of many horror stories others experienced when selling to other gold buyers. But after reading Toronto Gold's website and reading their reviews I thought I'd give them a shot. The experience was exactly as described on their site and then some. Because I had a set of gold coins they quickly without all the testing just gave me a very rough estimate of their gold value (provided the coins passed the tests) he did not want to take them out of their protective wrapping just yet - hence the rough estimate. Then the gentleman asked if I had gone to any of the coin dealers in the city to get their opinion of the value - because he felt they might be worth more to a collector than just the value of the gold content, and he suggested a coin dealer I might want to take them to, to be appraised for value. Wow. That was very honest and forthright of him to suggest. So I did just that and took my coins to the suggested dealer - unfortunately this dealer thought he could pull the wool over my eyes and offered a price that was almost $100 less than what Toronto Gold suggested the gold content was wroth. So I returned to Toronto Gold with my coins. The experience was exactly like they say everything was transparent and they made an effort to put me at ease and explained the process while testing the gold coins I had. They showed me the value (it had gone up a few dollars since my earlier visit) and we agreed to that price. And in no time I was walking out the door with a cheque in hand. The only bit of constructive criticism I'd have to share with them is that the space could be refined a bit more to look more polished - but that is only my opinion - heck and the end of the day - they did offer the best price for my gold - just as guaranteed. I'll be going back with more of my gold and silver in the future. Don't waste your time running all over the city, the folks at Toronto Gold are professional, welcoming, transparent, honest and a pleasure to deal with.
