This was my experience on roughly 10/15/17: I walk in with a 62 gram handmade 14k yellow gold chain with "14kt Italy" on the chain and ask the very young lady behind the counter what they would offer me. She looks it over, scratched a sample on a touchplate and applies the acid. Now, here's the catch. What they didn't know was i had previously acid tested the chain myself with 14, 18kt acid and it acted exactly as it should, with the gold streak remaining a nice light brown under the 14k nitric while the 18k burned it away...again, as it should. So the older woman, who obviously owns this shop, tried to blatantly lie to my face telling me first the chain may not be real, then said it was 13k gold(a complete lie) and offered me $525 for gold that was going for $1480 scrap based on the gold scrap calculating website i checked(these sites can be found with a simple google search) for 14k and 62 grams that day (prices fluctuate daily). It's typical to get an offer of 70-80% as they have to make money, this is a common offer a reputable store would give its customer (this can be found with a google search. So basically they offered me 35%. That's not being fair. That's called trying to cheat someone!! This business is a real bad place to buy and sell jewelry. Highly recommend you go somewhere reputable, its worth the extra money for piece of mind. This store is a complete ripoff, AVOID...you have been warned! This story is 100% legit...horrible business indeed! I laughed and walked right out...went somewhere else and got $1100...nearly $600 more than this place offered!

Great people. Attached a band to my watch at no charge. When they do things like that it makes you know they are all about customer service.

Nice friendly staff, great prices

This is a small place that doesn't look like much from the outside. However, their selection is excellent and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and quite friendly. This is a much nicer way to purchase jewelry or have something repaired than the more well known places like Jared or Kay , which are very nice but this establishment makes you feel like they want your business and they seemed to be very honest and upfront. A very local place that has a comfortable environment and professional staff. I would highly recommend them. Update : brought some jewelery in for appraisal. They offered to purchase for $1300. Drove to Sayville the same day with the same jewelry and backup paperwork, was offered $3100. An $1800.00 difference, more than double what they offered me. Nice place, nice people, but check around if you're selling something. This wasn't a minor error. Very disappointing. For this reason I would no longer recommend them.
