On February 16th. my boyfriend had purchased me a beautiful ring. He and I are in a long distance relationship so that could only describe the love I already had for the ring. THAT SAME NIGHT that he GAVE me the ring, a stone fell out of it on the very bottom of the ring. I was furious. That next morning, on February 17th, he and I called customer service and explained that a diamond fell out of the ring an hour after I had gotten it. She explained to me that the only thing that they could do would be to switch out the entire ring. Like I explained before, the diamond had fallen out on the very bottom so it was not as noticeable, so I brushed it off because I had already had an attachment to the ring so replacing it really wasn’t an option for me. About a month goes by, maybe a little more. I do not put the ring by any water, chemicals, or ANYTHING. The ring has touched nothing but air, but yet somehow diamonds are falling out even after I take complete care of it? On March 21st, I took the ring off and set it on my sink so that I could wash my face. After I washed my face, I put the ring back on as i normally would, and when I went upstairs to my room and I looked at my ring, ANOTHER DIAMOND WAS GONE, but this time, it was on the top. VERY NOTICABLE THIS TIME. At this point, I was beyond furious.
Now note, this ring was given to me as a gift and my boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship so he was no longer in town. I did not have a reciept because it was given to me as a gift. When I called and told them that another diamond fell off, they yet again told me that they can not do anything because I did not have a receipt. So what Pandora is basically telling all of us is that if you don’t have a receipt or any proof of purchase that they can’t do anything for you. They said i needed a proof of purchase so I asked my boyfriend if he had ANY kind of proof that he hasn’t purchased the ring. He had the bank transaction, the date he bought it, the tracking number, and IT EVEN STATED THE DAY THAT IT SHIPPED OUT AND ARRIVED TO HIS HOUSE, and that still was not enough for Pandora to repair my less than a month old ring.
I couldn’t walk around with two diamonds missing and one of them that is very noticeable so I had to go around to different jewelry stores to see if SOMEONE could but diamonds back into my ring. Luckily, I found a place that could replace the diamonds in my ring for the price of only $20. But what I want to know, why can’t Pandora replace their own diamonds and rings or help the customers with THEIR horrible quality rings? The jewelry place told me that they replaced the diamonds that needed replaced but there is no guarantee that more diamonds aren’t going to fall out. Which means I am going to have to spend my money each time a diamond falls out of my ring!!!! It is a BEAUTIFUL ring!! I am in love with it, which is why I am SO disappointed in the customer service, or lack there of. (Not to mention they only have a two year warranty on their jewelry which shows you how long they REALLY expect their jewelry to last).
I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER buy from pandora again.. EVER!!!! And I will bring up my horrible experience every time I hear, or see someone planning to purchase any kind jewelry from there so that they don’t have to waste their money!!!!
