Happy repeat MAJ customer!

I discovered MAJ last year. The quality of their solid gold pieces is excellent, the prices fair and the customer service A+++! I have only bought a few vermeil pieces, and while they haven't tarnished, that's always a risk, no matter where you shop, since it’s just gold-plated. I love that you can reach out to them on IG to ask questions and they respond very quickly. I also love their website -- the photography is stellar and really gives you a great idea of what the pieces look like on real people. Honestly, this is a Canadian gem that not enough people are talking about! Their designs are also very on trend, and if you invest in their high-quality solid gold pieces, you can be assured they will last. They also offer afterpay, which makes it easier. I haven’t had any of the issues I’ve read about in other reviews; in fact, the one issue I had was resolved super quickly and the piece was replaced even though the warranty had expired. Highly recommend!

Horrible quality. In a matter of 3 weeks I had two rings that I lost the whole stones. My original and my replacement both lost the stones the first day I wore them. They made me pay for the shipping for my replacement. So I spend $150 on two rings I got to wear for two days total. They would not give me a refund. I will never shop here again.

Beautiful pieces but poor quality. The gold vermeil wears off very fast and the staff basically tell you that it's not meant for long term wear. I switched to purchasing sterling silver expecting more longevity from the product, the silver pendant which I had not worn often, started to peel. This is a clear defect as sterling silver should not be plated or overlayed with anything and has no reason to bubble and peel. At that point, the quality was questionable and I just wanted to return the item, after lots of back and forth with the store, they agreed to replace the pendant. Although the jewellery is beautiful, I have some significant concerns over the quality and won't be purchasing from them again.

I have purchased many items from Melanie Auld and recently went into the store for a repair. There were a couple customers in the store and they were greeted very friendly whereas I, being of color, was treated very different. This was the 2nd time I experienced this, the first time around I gave them the benefit of the doubt but the second time around it was clear. Very disappointed to have this happen in a diverse city like Vancouver. Will not be shopping here and do not suggest for others. This type of behavior is sad.
