Terrible experience today at Golfers Galaxy. As you can see by the very mixed google reviews of this store it really is a questionable place to invest your time and money. After spending some $4k-$5k (equipment and apparel) in this store since moving back to the North Shore in 2015 I had a very simple return on a Bushnell Rangefinder that my wife bought for my birthday. I had everything (including receipt) but the box and the Manager refused to even give me store credit as I indicated to him I wanted to move up and acquire a Bushnell v4 Rangefinder ($300 cost). I could not believe that after this explanation and a request for store credit that he was not willing to provide (just $42) in credit so that I could acquire a v4. Incredibly shortsighted on his part and they have lost my business FOREVER!. I got in my car and went to Golfers Warehouse in Danvers where they were very glad to take my $450 (for the v4, apparel and golf balls). Service was great and I joined their frequent buyer club. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS RETAILER IF THEY WON'T STAND WITH YOU WHEN YOU NEED SOME LOYALTY BACK FROM THEM.INCREDIBLY POOR RETAILER.

Great golf shoppe. Brian one of the pros, is an awesome guy. Everytime I come in there even if Im just putzing around (which is often) he remembers me. Asks how my daughter is, and never tries to push product on me. If I ask him for help, then he'll engage me and give me great advice. He's knowledgable, reliable, and down to earth. Great golf guy. Who probably deserves a raise, bottom line hes the boss here, and the staff is a reflection upon him. They're also all for the most part gr8. Its a little pricey, but golf isnt a cheap game. So if you want 2nd grade stuff, go somewhere else. But they do always have clearance and trade in programs which make things affordable, reasonable. Also theres some decent promotions going on at any given time. Just depends on timing. Overall for my area its a great resource right down the st. Better option than local pro shops for sure.

Made a purchase just over a month ago for a travel bag, the first time I used it the clip broke. Spoke to the manufacturer and they were super helpful but just needed a receipt. I called the store to see about having the receipt emailed or reprinted. The representative Patrick answered and said there was absolutely no way to get a receipt from a prior purchase, asked if I had gotten a receipt with my original purchase and said that's all I get. When I started to ask what happens when a customer loses a receipt he hung up on my while I was mid sentence. I called back to ask his name and speak to the manager, he answered and I asked for his name but I was hung up on again. I called back a third time and asked for the manager, the representative asked what it's in regards to and when I said it was about being hung up on twice he said the manager was unavailable due to being on another call, no offer to be put on hold or called back. Called into customer service and they said the store is able to do this and customer service provided me with the receipt. I had made all my golf purchases with the golfsmith that was in the location prior but since golf galaxy has bought them out and provided terrible customer service I will no longer be purchasing from this company.

This place is a joke. Condescending staff and managers are no different. You work retail at a golf store, in New England, in an already declining golf market. I'll be back to laugh at you losers when the chain gets sold. Again.

probably the best golf store left in the Boston area. does not make sense that golf galaxy would close all the golf Smith stores except for the one closest to their only store.
