Nice, open front nine, close in back nine, very reasonable fees, no excuse not to go golfing when places like Rush Lake Hills exist.

Five star for the price and expectations. If you're pretentious about your golf courses it's not for you. But if you enjoy playing, scoring well and being relaxed this is the place to go. Fun and interesting course. The rough is rough, stay out of it. The greens are small and challenging to hit on approach shots. You shouldn't lose a ball here. Staff has always been kind. The biggest bonus is that all of the profits from this place go to cancer research as it is owned by Henry Ford Hospital. I will play here 4-6 times a year including the Ryder cup tournament they offer at the end of September.

Golf here is great for the price, played here on many occasions. But the last time finished a little sour. Had a group of 8 of us. We played in 2 foursomes obviously, played a best ball scramble. Coming into the 18th hole, our 2 groups were close in score. Nobody behind us for atleast 2 holes, so we decided to group up for the last hole. As we were hitting to the green, mind you, playing best ball scramble, the ranger approaches us and jokes with us about grouping up as 8 guys. We told him, we were tied, and there wasn't anyone behind us. He laughed, watched us hit, then proceeded to the clubhouse. We all hit. Both groups had one guy hit on the green, we get the the green, and we both had less than a 8 ft putt. So we looked at each other and called it good for a birdie and called it for the round. As we approached the clubhouse, the ranger blew up at us, and started yelling at us about members calling in and complaining about us playing as a group of 8 ever since the 5th hole, and holding up play....we finished in under 4 hours for one, and also, we only played the last hole as a group, on which the ranger held us up longer than we had on any hole. He was very out of line yelling at us, lectured us on how we should know better, and be more respectful to the game. And the entire time he was yelling at us for 10 minutes, nobody came up 18s fairway...again I've played rush lake many times, never any issues, everyone has always been nice, but I can't say I'll be back after this experience with this ranger on a power trip.
