Taking its name from the Oneida word for eagle, the Atunyote course at Turning Stone Resort soars above most other golf courses in the northeast of the United States. Here, just three miles from the main resort, you will find a fabulous Tom Fazio layout, which ranks alongside America's best.

We drove up to the gated golf course, early on a Sunday morning and watched the fog lift from the fairways and secluded driving range; it felt like we were in a Harry Potter Movie. I've been to Augusta National. Atunyote does as good a job to their rough, fairways, and greens as Augusta. Simply magical. Worth the price tag to do at least once / year.
