Very helpful staff. Asked a question sales rep didn't exact answer, excused himself, went and got the answer very quickly. Always helpful

In my experience, this store has a problem with the Store Manager setting a poor example that trickles down to most of the sales team. The Store Manager, in my opinion, does not exhibit a customer service, customer friendly attitude. The attitude expressed is that they have more than enough customers and do not really care if you shop there or go elsewhere. A friend of mine always shops at Golf Galaxy, but I talked him into trying Edwin Watts. My friend said no one greeted him or smiled at the front desk when he walked in. He said the staff made him feel like he was an inconvenience and they didn’t want to be bothered. My friend then convinced me to try Golf Galaxy, so I did so. I was shocked, during my visit to Golf Galaxy my eyes were suddenly wide open. I received a warm greeting at the door and a friendly smile. When I asked for assistance, the staff made me feel they were sincerely eager to help. When I asked to hit some clubs, someone walked me back to their hitting areas immediately and offered very helpful advice, rather than walking off or making me feel like my questions are an inconvenience. Golf Galaxy has several hitting bays and plenty of staff to assist you. Edwin Watts has 3 hitting bays and way too often the front desk will tell you to go back to the bays and wait and someome will help you when they become free. Too often, after waiting too long, I have had to walk around the store and ask someone to help me. The difference between these two stores is night and day. Also when I purchase new clubs and ask for my 10% military discount, I am almost always told they can’t give the discount because the manufacturer has a price lock on the clubs. I went into Edwin Watts this week to purchase a $1,800 set of Callaway Epic Star Irons. I had to wait so long for someone to help me that I finally left. I was also told they could not give me my military discount due to the manufacturer’s price lock, and told they could not honor their advertised 90 day return policy on these clubs. Over the years, I have bought several sets of clubs from this Edwin Watts store and I was never given a fitting. After leaving Edwin Watts that day, I called Golf Galaxy and told them what I needed. The salesperson told me to come on over and they will fix me up. When I walked into Golf Galaxy and told them I was the person that called in 15 minutes ago about the Callaway Epic Star Irons, they already had the demo club out for me to hit, an expert fitter immediately ready to assist me, they fitted me, gave me the 10% military discount and I walked out a very happy satisified customer. I also came to the decision I will never set foot in that Edwin Watts store again. Perhaps they are understaffed or have too many customers. So I will help them by being one less customer they have to worry about.

Have been here twice. Helpful staff, pricing is competitive with other local retailers, and good selection.

Spoke to John on the phone about a driver and he was very easy to talk to and very willing to help. In person it was the same. Very easy to work with. Not pushy, no high pressure sales. I would buy from John because he was the opposite-patient, more than willing to help. If you need clubs, go see John and he will get you in a good set.
