This is the worst managed golf course in Fort Worth!!! Played the Hills yesterday. I know now why I will never play this course again. They do not believe in pairing up singles. We no sooner got on the 1st green and we saw 3 singles lined up on the 1st tee behind us. Any decently run course would never allow this. We let 4 singles play through before we finished two holes. Ridiculous!! We let a total of 8 singles play through before we finished. Stay away from this course unless you are a single.

Tough course, that was very dry but I suppose that is normal for a Texas winter. 2/3 employees that I spoke to were super nice, the third was a grouch so I can see what most of these comments are talking about. He was very serious about rules and staying on the cart path. Just doing his job, so I get it. I’d like to see the course in the spring/summer so I can give a more accurate review.

I would play here more often, but the staff is always a beat down. I love when a course tells me to "hit em straight" or "have fun" after I pay and check in. Pecan Valley is usually more concerned with me getting the cart back (well before the sun goes down) or making sure we have our golfnow reservation numbers. It would not hurt them to smile. Golf is supposed to be fun and enjoyable.

My brother and I used to play this course at least once a week, over time that has changed... don't expect to buy any drinks from the caddy girl, because guess what? They never go out anymore.. the river has decent fairways and decent greens, the hills course on the other hand has terrible fairways (if you can even call them that). People don't keep pace and rangers don't do much to control that neither. People playing 9 holes will cut you off so expect that as it happens often. Prices are not competitive at all, 40$ at 3pm? For that price you can play the nicest courses in dfw. This used to be a nice course with nice people running it. I still have my hopes up that one day this course will go back to what it used to be.

Just ok. I called on Friday to ask about the greens on The River because they were lost over the winter and were offering 35% off greens fees. They confirmed they were Improving and still offering 35% off. Got there and the gentleman at the counter argued with me about the discount, so went ahead and paid and played. Don't plan to return. Good service goes a long way.
