This restaurant is an amazing farm to table dining experience! if your want flavor and a quaint dining experience, I highly recommend it. May sure to make a reservation before you visit. Also, It can be on the pricey side but it is worth it! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. My husband I have several food allergies, the waiter alerted the kitchen staff and the main chef came to our table. He explained were every ingredient came from and what substitutes they offered. Our plate(s) were amazing, each one that came out just got better and better. Just writing this review, I am remembering all the flavor from my meal and I want so much to experience it again! Make sure to also check out their wine and cocktail menu!

I have been to Blue Hill twice and both times I walked away feeling like I had just had the meal of a lifetime! Not only is the service here impeccable, the menu to die for and their food presentation on point, but it's a great place to go to for a romantic date, a group dinner with friends who have a finer palette than your typical happy hour crowd and also a phenomenal restaurant to go to when the 'rents are in town. I suggest opting for one of their stylized multi-course meals, which is truly worth the investment. Their sommelier was knowledgeable and found us fantastic wine selections to go with our meals! It was truly a fine dining experience and their wonderful take on farm to table is a breath of fresh air for a culinary foodie like myself! I look forward to returning!

This unique restaurant is so elegant in a casual, friendly way. The food is something you will not find anywhere else. All choices are farm to table fresh and tasty. We enjoyed lamb, grass fed beef, Jerusalem artichoke, and sweet potato. The bread—baked with Barber wheat—was the best bread we’ve ever had. The waitstaff in this restaurant are well informed about the food, healthy eating and the friendliest we’ve ever experienced. Eating at Blue Hill is an event for foodies.

we had a lovely time here. we were a party of 3 and managed to try all but one of the items on daily menu and the farmer's feast. the simplicity of the food allows you to taste the freshness of the ingredients; however, i must say that some of the key ingredients didn't really stand out like the beef in the 'beef & broccoli' or the crab in the 'maine crab' dishes. Service was superb, as you would expect to get from a fine restaurant. Be prepared to pay upwards of 160$ pp if you order a bottle of wine.

I planned a big engagement weekend to propose to my fiancee. I was planning to propose during a hike, followed by a fun celebratory meal at Blue Hill. We made a 1:30 p.m. reservation at Blue Hill and provided our credit card for the $258 per person charge. We emailed Blue Hill and the hotel to arrange a photographer for the actual proposal, and to arrange roses and a whole engagement plan. It was a really special day for us. We drove up, went on a hike, got engaged, and everything was great. We were planning to head over to Blue Hill for the surprise, romantic meal to top off the engagement. As we getting ready, I checked my email. I had received a notification that our reservation (for less than hours later at this point) had been "Cancelled" in the Blue Hill automatic system (the cancellation email is attached; it is dated March 4 at 12pm for a 130pm reservation, and lists the scary cancellation policy at the bottom). We had also received an email and voicemail from the director of Guest Relations saying that, due to a storm that had knocked out their power, they were cancelling our reservation. Blue Hill has a policy whereby they charge the $258 per person dining fee if the customer cancels within 48 hours. We called the person who emailed us back, and she said that she was sorry but they were closed, asked if my fiancee had said yes (again, they knew we were getting engaged that day),and asked if we could reschedule for another date. She was almost nonchalant about it. We told the person we spoke with that we understood they couldn't control the weather but wished we had known earlier (the storm was Friday night and was totally finished by Saturday at noon; our meal was Sunday at 1:30pm; and they notified us Sunday at 11am). We could have canceled the rental car, hotel, and everything if they'd told us Friday they would not be open Sunday rather than waiting until two hours before our meal to was to begin. I told my fiancee I was sorry and that we could celebrate privately in NYC. We then drove the rental car back to New York City, grabbing sandwiches along the way. I could tell my fiancee was slightly disappointed that there was no grand meal, but she seemed to understand that I had tried my best to make it a special day. We were a bit taken aback because Blue Hill's staff definitely knew we were getting engaged that day (we had emailed about photographers, etc.); they knew we planned our engagement - a very special moment in our lives - around the reservation to eat at their restaurant. There's more to the story but the character limit prevents me from saying more - the key is that, in my opinion, others should be cautious about planning big events at Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
