Stopped in here to sample the island fare and was truly disappointed. It was lunch time and doubles I ordered was stale and reheated in a microwave. I know this as the channa was think and stuck to the wax paper. You could also see someone opened it up to add pepper sauce and then eww rapped it in he same old wax paper. The roti I ordered was tasty but none of the fillings was freshly made. Again you expect a restaurant to serve fresh food especially at lunch or dinner. In the plus side the service was good but can’t ignore my disappointment in the lack of freshness in the food.

Best Caribbean food in Hamilton. Great value for the price, very friendly owners. Their food is so delicious I had them career my wedding and everyone who attended had plenty of good things to say. If you're vegetarian, go there before 1pm and ask for doubles, you will fall in love.

Decided to try this place because my friend told me that I need to try a roti and the only place he knows is in Toronto. Overall, it was pretty good and fair price. I ordered the chicken roti and my girlfriend got the beef roti. Price ranged from $9 to $11 for each of the roti. The roti was stuffed full of sauce, meat and potatoes. It was quite delicious and the breading part was very nice and light. Overall, very good experience and would come back again.

review date: march 1, 2018 I've been going to this place for over 5 years. I really appreciate the passion owners kevin and his wife christine have for providing a quality product. they have been treating me good. my favorite items are the chicken curry roti (good size for $9), their patties are delicious and the doubles are amazing. when you're in the mood for west indian food, best thing is to give then a call first. as a heads-up, when you are getting later into their hours of business, they may be running low on items. that''s because the food preparation (esp curry, roti and doubles) is time and labour intensive. this is not mcdonald's. FM has a personal commitment will only serve same-day, not leftover food as their pledge of quality to the customer, and that is something that should be respected.
