Has been our family’s favourite for over 20years. Recently celebrated a birthday with a group of 20. Food and service was excellent. Those who had the prime rib raved about how tender it was and cooked to perfection - and the best horse radish ever. Thanks Waterfront for another enjoyable evening.

We have been coming here for years but recently have noticed a push to turn the tables. Arrived at 5:00 and advised that they would need the table by 7. Nice way to start a meal. Service and food was prompt and the food was excellent as usual. However the waitress kept coming back to ask if we were done. When we were the plates were removed immediately and the cheque presented. We were still talking when she interrupted to ask if we needed the machine with one in hand. When I mentioned that we were feeling rushed she responded that we could stay if we wanted to have another drink or desert. Meanwhile the regulars sitting around us were left to their beers, I guess they all walk to the restaurant. While I appreciate that they want to generate business through table turns, we shouldn’t have that impact our dinner enjoyment.

I had the cream of chicken soup and the salmon. It was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. Donna, our server, was an absolute delight. Can't wait till the upstairs patio is open since there isnt a clear view from downstairs.

I've been here twice usually in the summer or start of spring. I ordered the mussels both times but today they were less than favourable. I loved the sauce (white wine garlic and herb) so reordered it this time but mussels were a bit gummy and tasted off today. I told the waitress today and explained they were less than expectation and left more than 2/3 of the order. She did nothing and didn't seem to care. Her overall manner was abrupt and short. She also didn't really listen or refill water glasses or bring the bill. We had to flag down other nearby waitresses to assist. When she did check on us mid meal - I explained my dissatisfaction with the mussels but she walked away Purposefully so I was expecting a manager to pop by. None did. An older gentleman popped by and I asked for a water refill but wasn't sure if he was owner/ manager - he didn't identify himself. My hubby ordered the wings and fries and they were actually not bad. We asked for light seasoning but they were heavily doused in coating. We subdued it with honey garlic sauce and was charged extra which I thought was in poor taste especially since the waitress didn't tell us. The young ladies that picked up the slack for the regular waitress was polite and professional compared to our actual assigned waitress. We sat in the back in a couplet table. He also was not impressed with the service and pointed out her quite rude mannerism. I wasn't impressed today but have had a good time and food here prior. Not sure if I'll return unless for using the bar rather than dining.

Restaurant is comfortable and has nice ambience, food was very tasty (I had the curry lamb bowl) and ordering was quick and there was no noticeable wait for the food. Altogether, a very enjoyable outing with friends.
