Unbelievably overpriced. The concept is great, but the portions are tiny, and the food is mediocre. It's truly nothing special. $44.00 for a tiny piece of steak on a rock!!

The concept is definitely very interesting with a lot of potential. However, their ventilation system really needs to be worked on. As soon as we got to the lobby of the hotel which is considerate distance from the restaurant, we could smell the grilling meats odours. And as soon as we step into the restaurant, we see clouds of the smoke from the volcano rocks everywhere and of course the smell will deeply steep into your clothing and hair. The food itself is a lot about show. The shrimps came in a huge martini glass with a big piece of horseradish. The caesar salad was ‘deconstructed’ in which you can find the crouton in a glass shape with a parm bottom. It looks cool but it is not the best delivery. As for the mains, the meat, even though covered with mushroom seasoning were definitely lacking salt and flavour. And the volcano rock cooks the meat but does not provide the char well hence do not develop that desired caramelized crust you would expect from a high temperature cooking. The ice cream and the brownie came from what seemed a pre made and pre frozen dish in which the items were still rock hard. The lemon pie was enjoyable. Fun experience with hands on involvement but keep your expectations low.
