We had the seafood chowder. Best I have had. Chocked full of seafood in every bite. Also had the halibut and chips. Tender chunks of halibut and tons of nicely seasoned chips with just the right crispness. Topped off with a Kodiak Nut Brown Ale made for an enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend Fletcher's.

The food is excellent but the amaretto sour was very light handed. I asked for another shot for my drink. That amaretto sour in a rocks glass ended up to be $22.50! And it was just Disaronno!

Very disappointed. My wife and I took a trip of a lifetime to Alaska, to experience the panoramic views of the wilderness, the wild animals, and to taste the food. Alaska is well known for its fresh, delicious seafood, so we went to Fletchers. The salmon was dreadful. The salmon was not fresh, very dry, and will no seasoning. It looked naked on the plate....no sauce, garnish, bed of rice, or salsa to enhance the flavor. The tomato was hard, pale, with no flavor. The asparagus was cooked to perfection however. The presentation and flavor might be expected at a local bar, but not at the Captain Cook Hotel. Your chef should go back to school and put some passion into your menu.
