Amazing food. A bit pricey but well worth it. My wife and I will definitely be going back.

Ramen & broth was good. Chirashi tasted watered down, like fish had been frozen and thawed in a water bath. Very slow (which was fine, just an fyi), and when asked for a small substitution was told it was not possible. Only after the meal did the wife warm up and finally chat with us. Would love to try again if I had some recommendations on what to order. Food seemed slightly expensive. $18.50 for ramen a bit steep.

Old Japanese couple run small Japanese restaurant. Food is good and keep traditional. The lady very nice and talk so much with us. For the price, I feel a little bit higher, but acceptable. I think it is no easy to find a traditional Japanese restaurant in downtown Anchorage.

I ate yamaya seafood last night. It was incredible experience. I never find a place like this in Anchorage. You can feel the Japan atmosphere once you open the slide door. Its only 2 person work. One nice old lady and one guy as a chef. Im order tonkatsu ramen and gyoya. And for take away im order another gyoja and chicken with ginger. Its all good and tasty. The broth was fantastic! And dont rush. The chef cook by him self and believe me its a worth place to try. ♡♡♡♡♡ .
