Great atmosphere, great food, great coffee, great decor and music, and great people! This place is a fantastic little quirky secret tucked away in downtown, and I ALWAYS recommend it to everyone I get on the subject of local restaurants with, because there's something for everyone! And on top of it, they host tango lessons on certain days of the week after restaurant hours and support local artists by displaying their work. My recommendation: Try the Tesla Burger and a Red Chair mocha- you can thank me later!

As a frequent visitor to Anchorage I like to explore new venues instead of just visiting the most famous places. Sure glad I decided to have brunch at the Red Chair Cafe. Had a really great omelette and was pleasantly surprised when the friendly server offered up alternatives to potatoes on the side (the a asparagus were awesome.) I'll definitely be back.

We have been in Alaska for almost 2 weeks and this was the best breakfast during our entire stay. Everything is fresh and the English muffins and the biscuits are made on the premises by the owner. Even the jams are homemade. The SteamPunk Potatoes were delicious- a mixture of regular and sweet potatoes with onions. Really good. Coffee was good, great selection of eclectic music, staff was wonderful. Can’t say enough about this place.

This is our "go to" brunch place. I anticipate driving an hour for the "French toast" that might as well be a delicious cake! And my partner loves the "Tesla" burger! Great service, every time! Mamosas are lovely! This place is wonderful!!! Really miss the home made giant fries, though!!

The salted caramel apple pancakes are fabulous! The menu is very creative - I ordered the house made scrapple with jalepeno jam... And I cleaned my plate! I also love that they feature local artists, on their walls. We did have to wait a bit for our food, but that's to be expected, when people are making real food, cooked to order. Everything here was fresh & delicious & worth the wait.
