The views we're phenomenal! The food was ok. The order of nachos was a massive serving!

We had a great time hiking around Mt. Roberts and were starving and very thirsty by the time we sat down so we were really looking forward to a good meal. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon, so the place was pretty slow. The first thing I noticed was that my fork was dirty but I thought no big deal, I'll ask for a clean one....so we wait..and wait...nothing. After 10 minutes I asked a busser if our waiter was going to bring us some water. His response was "well who is your waiter?". I said "I don't know, haven't met him yet.". So we wait another 10 minutes, watch another table being sat and served water and cocktails, still nothing. The waitress that served the other table wouldn't even make eye contact with me when I tried to get her attention. We eventually gave up and left, two crying kids in tow. It was truly bizarre. I would say it was the worst service I've ever had, but there was literally no service at all.

Pretty pricey but the waitress is so sweet, the view is amazing, and the burger was pretty bomb too! Worth it!

The local beer selection is top notch and being the only bar in Juneau with the Chuli Stout on nitro is impressive. The wild Tongass Burger was very delicious. The burger was moist, the toppings were superb and the service was prompt.

I arrived at the Timberline last Monday with high-expectations. I had read reviews on trip advisor and seen people rave about the crab nachos. Because of this, we made it a "must-do" for the duration of our port-visit to Juneau. We arrived at about 3pm, an off-time between lunch and dinner. Upon asking for a table by the window, the hostess said that the tables were not cleaned off and she would get in trouble for seating us in the desired section. Because of this, we settled for another table, at which we did not receive a waiter. After about 15 minutes of waiting, we had to go to the hostess stand and ask to be served. Horahh, five minutes later an unpleasant looking woman came to our table asking for our drink orders. She did not smile once and seemed to be taking her sweet time. Because we had a big breakfast, we ordered soup and/or salad to go with our nacho appetizer. However, our soups and salad arrived before the nachos. The soup was good, but the salad's toppings were laid very sparingly. The nachos did not live up to expectations. Based on reviews, I expected something with far more taste, appeal, and presentation. This restaurant that didn't quite look like a restaurant was not worth the $50 spent. We would've faired better at a food truck, or embarking the ship and eating for free.
