I am not of age yet so can't say anything about the beer selection but the food was amazing very good mix of ingredients, I had the barrel burger and with the mix of ingredients it sounded weird but turned out amazing. The food was fast and service was very friendly and attended to my needs. Very happy can't wait to go back

Service and food are A+. Great selection of rotating taps, there's bound to be something for everyone. Portions are good. ORDER THE SWEET POTATO FRIES, they are the best we've had, they use real sweet potatoes, not yams. The Mac and cheese was great, the chicken sandwich was good, too. Love the vibe here, definitely worth the stop.

Nice new taphouse/casual restaurant in Grass Valley. An amazing 27 craft beers, 3 ciders, and I didn't count but probably a dozen wines are available. The facility has a bar, a smallish dining room, and a covered patio for seating. I had the ginger cider to drink and it was really good. The food backs up the drinks list well. I didn't order, but I saw, a fried Brussels sprouts appetizer that would have made dinner for two, and it cost $8-10 depending on options. I had the veggie cheese...steamed veggies in cheese sauce. Delicious and reasonably priced. There was lots of salad and burger options too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it was cold in the dining room, and also the furniture, while stylish, is not terribly comfortable!

This was my first time going to Thirsty Barrel since it opened. I absolutely loved it. We had Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and my husband and I both got two beers. They have a great selection of taps. Our server, her name was Nicki I think, she was super knowledgeable about the beers and very helpful. Overall the atmosphere, food and service was excellent. Will be back!

The only things I care for at this place is the large tap selection, and the ambiance, that's about it. It took about 10 to 15 minutes just to get our drinks. We ended up ordering the brussel sprouts, which on the menu sounded decently good, but when we got them, they seemed like they were overdone beyond recognition. All I tasted was a charred mess of slightly garlic flavored material - I had to wash away the flavor with my beer. Didn't get a chance to try other food items, but the guy next to us seemed to enjoy his tacos. The service was quite friendly, and the place is family friendly. My only complaint about the taps is that the selection, although large, doesn't have what I would consider unique or a beer experience I couldn't get from a different bar in town. It really feels like this place could use something more. It kind of feels like a controlled chaos. I live a 5 minute walk from this place, but I could easily think of a more preferable establishment to go.
