We went last night to celebrate a special moment in family life. The food was really quite tasty, albeit a bit overpriced. The service took it down quite a bit. Not what I'm used to for a supposedly classy place. The automatic gratuity of 18% is to blame, I believe. No motivation to excel. Servers should delight in serving. Or get another job. With a little more focus on his part, I might have been happy to give 20%...of my own volition, of course.

Disappointing. My girl and I were looking for something memorable to start our new year. We made reservations for New Years Eve. There was a set menu with what appeared to be some good options. We were seated fairly promptly and sat, and sat, and then sat. It was super cold, so we had to put our coats back on. Finally a waiter came and handed us menus. We sat waiting some more. Finally he came back for our drink order. Then after some time he came and took our food order. With a set menu, we expected the food to be exceptional. It was not. It wasn’t even average. It was bad. The waiter never came back to check on us. I even had to flag him down to finally get the check. So, it was a memorable meal. Just not in a good way.

In all honesty, the food is simply wonderful. That said, the service is indifferent and the menu, while written in English, is hard to decipher. Given the high cost, you would think they could do better.

This a very good example of why tips shouldn't be automatically included in your bill. Our waiter acted like he was doing us a favor by serving us. The drink orders came out wrong (yes, this happens at times, but the way he handled the situation was very bad). One of the six dinners was inedible. ANother was really bad but our guest just didn't eat it rather than complain. Nobody came by to see if things were going alright. We had to flag down the waiter to send back the worst meal. The replacement came after everyone else was finished with their dinner (quite a while later). When we complained to the manager her response was to say that she could get a "to go" bag for it. It's sad to see what was once a great restaurant go this far downhill.

We had an amazing dinner here. Awesome food, great service, very knowledgeable and give good recommendations on drink and food. Cozy and lovely atmosphere.
