This was a nice experience, and am glad we went. We will visit other eateries in the future. For the money I would expect more: fresh sides, spices (even salt) to bring out the flavor of the beef, and seating not so paced together.

Good atmosphere. Kid friendly. Outdoor area with heaters. Good food and drinks. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Whaling station steakhouse is very average, at least what I ordered. I had the French onion soup, decent, but not great. I had the fillet medallions from the bar menu, they were average, not flavorful and a bit overdone. The bar menu prices are fine, average casual restaurant. The saving grace is the service, which was excellent, servers are very friendly and helpful recommending dishes, and definitely the marinated olives at the bar are excellent. I would have been fine having several beers and olives. Overall average restaurant, first time here, not necessarily thinking of visiting again.

Guest services and food were mediocre at best. The Cesar salad made me feel I'll. The Beef Wellington was barely warm, one medium rare one well done. The Escargot presentation was horrible.

My first time here and I'm sure it's great. But if you run out of the signature steak on the menu at 6:15 in the evening it is an indication that the place is being mismanaged. I mean come on! It's not like your are selling cars. You are selling steak so keep some in stock.
